@pcracer2 Yeah, it's all very well practicing on other people's bikes, but when it comes to your own, it's understandable why most of us can never be this good.
@gconneely92 I passed (did mod 1 and 2 at the same time) thanks :)
Within an hour though, while sitting in stationary traffic, an old women drove into the side of me, a guy working in a cafe came out and said it's the second time he's seen her do it this week! Thank god for armoured trousers!
dammmm...i'm a lady 24 years old and want to ride a motocycle so bad but i don't have the guts...i'm freaking scared. i told myself that i'm going to learn next year and then year went past and i told myself once again. i will do it next year. sighed...time..time went by so fast.
It's a Harley, all the weight is 2" of the ground, big wide bars, low down torque + a bit of practice = not too difficult. The Japan Police Moto test one is more impressive.
fake....check the last 4 sec of video, it's definitely sped up and I'm guessing that means his acceleration out of corners is the product of alteration as well.
@guitarplayerpavel 1. The slower you ride a motorbike, the harder it is to corner it this sharp without using a foot (especially this many times in a row) 2. people use the bike over a car for some reasons and one of them is that they accelerate MUCH faster than heavy cars 3. if it was sped up, the of the music and the voice of the women would sound a pitch higher or so.
only problem is the speed with the control, if you have a sportbike, there is no way that a harley, even a good rider, should keep up with you in mild traffic anywhere.
When I saw the title I thaught it was gonna be funny. Now it is much better than funny it is epic. I bet he honed his skills in the streets of Vietnam.
my dad was a police chief and rode a motorcycle (off duty, wasn't big enough pd to have a motorcycle unit) i rode with him lets just say i was screaming hail marys i can only imagine if my dad could drive his bike like that... and my dad was damn good at it too. this cop is amazing. i would walk up to him and bow!!!
Like Phonehed said, I thought it was gonna be a slow ride through the pattern by the title. Seeing how tight this course is, he flew through it. Great job...and riding, Don't think I coulda make it through on a 10speed!
Somehow I was thinking I was gonna see a snail race. I sure wouldn't call that slow riding. Give the man some credit, he blasted through that course like a hot knife through butter!
That was AWESOME! I got dizzy just trying to see the course outlined by the cones as he was going through that maze. What a show of control, speed and agility.
My friends are always intimidated when they go racing by on their sport bikes and the cop precedes by weaving through a bunch of cones to warn them to slow down.
@viggoM35 skill is sometimes faster than speed.. that straight line speed sure is gonna suck when they have to WEAVE through traffic.... get my drift...
your Busa cant turn so sharp the steering bar. it's not that you are not able to do it's just two diferent types of motorbikes. if you ride Cop's bike and learn the bike you will do that too.
i agree, WAY easier to this kind of riding on a cruiser. Stick this same cop on a super sport and he'd probably drop it on the first few turns. Sport bikes pretty much need to be over 35-40 mph to become really stable. Now I'm not saying it's impossible to turn some tight corners in a parking lot on the sport bikes either, i can do a u-turn on my 636 in the space of just over 2 parking spots wide. but when i rode a "cruiser" for my MSF course it was way easier to do that kind of stuff.
It's much easier to do that on a street bike than the large harley cruiser he is using... That bike is very heavy and much harder to control in tight spaces than, say, a Cbr1000.
He is a very good rider, I'll remember not to run from him if he comes after me.
It's not easier on a sportbike! Steering lock is significantly smaller, so for the low speeds you would have to go in a course like that, you would have to counter-balence (placing as much of your weight on the outside peg as you can) and lean the bike quite far over. A cruiser can do this with his butt in his seat because the steering goes much farther. Go take an MSF course.
WOW. I read a comment that someone thought it would be awesome to do this on a sport bike. Well I know of at least on rider who can do this on a sport bike. It so happens he's a retired cop. Ha ha.
Wow. Just... wow. Apparently, this is not a cop you get away from unless you are escaping in a helicopter launched from your evil lair. Even then, chances are you're the next Sarah Conner. My hat is off to this guy.
