@fgleich I'm playing a 1972 Telecaster Custom that has been further customized with a Bigsby and a Carvin humbucker pickup in the front position. I play some Reed and Travis, but Chet was my idol and I still aspire to play his tunes. Thanks for watching

@aug1462 This is called "Thumb and Fingerstyle guitar playing" Many people shorten it to Thumbstyle or Fingerstyle guitar playing. Typically you play the rhythm with your thumb and the melody with your fingers. Merle Travis is said to be the first to play this style professionally in the early 1940's, then Chet Atkins came along and made it popular with the masses. Just Google Fingerstyle Guitar lessons and see what you find. Thanks
