  • how to sterilize a planet infected by organisms.

  • cant u just make a bunker under earth?

  • to quote the video "one month after the impact, the surface of the world has been sterilized...all that remains is the super-heated bedrock"

  • an horrible end..

  • O_O I don't wanna die yet

  • Well no snow to play in on that day :(

  • can't we just put some H-Bombs in 1 big rocket, and shoot it to the meteor while it is still a few thousend / million kilometers away from us?

  • Pause at 7:20 the meteor has an evil face. lol

  • The cockroaches are laughing

  • At least we have the technology now to push one of these of course. Lets just hope the damn government funds the programs that allow us to do so.

  • During the impact, thousands of Republicans would be denying that it was happening.

  • Calm down peeps. Shoul an asteroid get close enough to hit is, then we a few bikers or so at it. The point to destroy it, but to knock it off it's course asap

  • Oceans begin to boil...the salt within is vaporized...the ground of the oceans begins to melt....the acropolis is still standing. I'm moving to greece.

  • @GIadiator

Hahahaha. Yeah, me too I'll be moving to Greece... it is safer! :D

  • Oh well shit happens.

  • @TheIceThorn

Yes, but I think they are mostly very small asteroids: 1-30 meters in diameter.

  • @anselmolamanna smaller... A LOT SMALLER...

  • 3:37 looks like pie

  • @TobiCollab

Hahahahahahahaha. The big pie! I want to eat: I'm very hungry... :D

  • if this has happened before, how are we still standing here?

  • @rizer912

I suppose this has happened in the first period of life of earth, when there were many giants asteroids in the solar system.

  • @rizer912

That's precisely what some other intelligent being on earth millions of years from now, who doesn't believe our civilization existed would be asking.

  • @rizer912 not while humans were alive obviously.

  • Asteroid 2005 U55 is due to "pass" the Earth on November 11 of this year.

It is reported it will pass at 200,000 miles OR LESS. That makes it inside

    the orbit of the moon.

If NASA is off even a hair, an impact is possible. U55 is 1,300 feet in

diameter. If it impacts the moon we will be given a show rarely seen in

    the entire history of Earth.

If it impacts the Earth, however, the "show" will be over for all of us.

  • Is that Christopher Plummer?

  • comet Elenin... yahoooo!

  • 500 km what? diameter or surface?

Either is too big... 500 km² diameter is like half of Italia and it isn't so big as this. and if it's 500 km of surface is even smaller... Is big like a big city; no more and no less...

Either cases it won't be the EotW. >.>

  • @TheIceThorn It has been determined that the most likely cause of the K/T extinction level event was the impact of a 10-15km diameter space rock at Chicxulub in Mexico, releasing approximately 420 ZJ of energy, comparable to 100 teratonnes of TNT and over one billion times the energy of the bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. 500km might not be big, but it packs one hell of a punch.

  • @vhasiu re: specify what. surface, section area or diameter... ( None of these can cause a E.L.E. but the diameter goes so near to it)

  • @TheIceThorn

You're right, in the description was not specified...

There's talk of diameter: an asteroid 500 km in diameter.

  • @anselmolamanna still not big enough xD

Till 10 km of diameter it's not the end of the world >.>

  • @TheIceThorn

Maybe you're right. But I hope that no asteroid hitting the earth, not even an asteroid of 100 meters... Better not take chances with the assumptions: I want to live! :D

  • @anselmolamanna hmm... every yers thousand of asteroids hit the earth >.>

  • I really respect scientist, but please don't waste your time to show us how we will die. We don't care. Show us how to make something that asteroid would not hit the earth. That`s what we care.

  • @Sanjar10A7777

    I agree with you... :)

  • some day our world will come to an end .... it is a matter of time ... it is creepy but fascinating at the same time

  • Hell on Earth... probably what this planet needs...

  • Creepy.

  • @Asurei

Yes, it's creepy. But stay calm, will never happen!

  • @anselmolamanna Just that comment made me feel better about this :)

  • :)
