Personally, in my opinion. Yeah, the pilot movie is insidiously crap but the TV series has never been anything less than entertaining. It may not have the gritty war feel that the Dark Horse Clone War comics did or the hyper-anime style of the first Clone Wars cartoon, but it's a lot more like the original trilogy and maybe the original Marvel comics from the 80s. Also, Anakin does come off a lot better as a character and we get to see him as a hero and a leader of men, which is a plus.
The sad part is, it's not even loyal to the prequels or the people who followed the Clone Wars before it was completely mainstream like this. I lol'd at the coughing.
From what I heard, they're trying to reach out to the kid audiences and get them to buy all the merchandise, and the CG The Clone Wars seems to be the only way to do it I suppose. Ahh...the good old days when Star Wars was good. <3 Good vid Nick!
