  • that bike is FAST

  • give that to patrik fürstenhoff

  • does it blend?

  • OMG I want one on a hayabusa

  • its a freaking turbo

  • @nkw92 turbo is powered by the exhaust gases a supercharger is powered by the crank

  • @FatRedneckTerrorist SOOOOO TRUEEEEEEE

  • OH MY GOD ! - ITS TRUE!! - HARLEY SUCK !!!

  • hp power baby.

  • my 1992 gsx600f makes same horsepower than this... 65 cant be right... must of meant 165?

  • @Olliedfox actually an extra 65 rwhp - it produces over 200 at the wheel.

  • @Olliedfox It's 65 MORE than stock. Read the description.

  • 65bhp is a failure for a supercharged 1100cc engine. there are stock bikes with less then half the displacement that make over 50hp

  • @123devinzz1 You're fucking stupid. It says 65 HP and 24 LB-FT of Torque MORE than stock.

    Learn to read.

  • @123devinzz1 Aprilia RS250 makes 65hp :)

  • @deromegadrei Oh dear its groundhog day again ..............

  • I GET MORE HORSE POWER ON MY NATURAL ASPIRATED HORSE MULE FROM AFGANISTAN

  • Trick question. "...the term intercool and aftercooler are used synonymously today. The term intercooler is used to mean in-between the Turbocharger and the engine. Both terms, intercooler or aftercooler, are correct, but this is the origin of the two terms that are used interchangeably by all levels of experts."

Technically it's a charge air cooler.

  • Intercooler...or aftercooler?

  • @TheCargals Intercooled.

  • Oh yeah! the old stermearcher hub I had as a kid. How could I forget...

  • Your carbs arent jetted right thats why the pipes are changing such a nasty color

  • @jbcountryraised The bike is injected! The film was shot when a lot of dyno work was going on, the pipes are now ceramic coated to get rid of the heat a little faster.

  • a stagggggggggering 65bhp. WOW

  • Northamptonshire? hmmmm....

  • i think my zxr 750 j1 will be getting a supercharger or a turbo stuck on it :O)

  • can i do this to my honda spree?

  • that is fucking ridicularse

  • the front end is taken from the zx12???

  • @skourvoulianaki Yes ZX12R originally

  • i got the 1997 the thing is so fast the 6 gear dont realy pull very hard got yoshimura rs3 full system k&n air fliter and 16 tooth in front i went 1 tooth donw in the front not the 6 gear pull verry hard like a jet plane i did 180mph with 16 tooth in the front before stock 17 wass verry hard to do 180 now go there 123 no problem so what you think 16 tooth in the front??

  • is that a stock engine???

  • @skourvoulianaki Not stock, taken out 2mm on bore (1195cc) rods and pistons changed for greater strength and the head has been cleaned up ........ and a few other small things.

  • very nice that is sick bike i have one 1997 cbr1100xx the best ever bike i ever have what kind fron you put on the front???

  • @skourvoulianaki Re-worked ZX12R but that has been changed since this video was shot to later ZX12R but with Brembo monobloc calipers.

  • If the guy pulls it to the said RPMs, those shitty tubes on the sides are just gonna get torn off by the wind...

  • oh and btw, my dad has one and it pulls 120km/h in 1st gear, so I'm not really sure we do see a HUGE difference here, do we?

  • @AdrienDie ...... suggest you try rinding a 200+ bhp bike before quantifying HUGE.

  • @AdrienDie your dad has the fastest bike in the world then im scared to hear what 6th gear is like

  • @AdrienDie ummmm the revsreferred to are for the supercharger internals so how is the wind going to blow the tubes off?

  • @AdrienDie that would be kinda hard considering he is riding with the fairings on?!?!

  • Дрозд хорош и в стоке.C механическим наддувом на дорогах будет обеспечено превосходство над другими байками(в стоке) разумеется.

  • how is that possible? 120,000rpm!! wow.

  • @macbeasty maybe,its not....

  • @macbeasty lol..........

  • @macbeasty yeah was thinking the same but can go to 201500rpm.. Google Rotrexsuperchargers for info...interesting.

  • @1oldgit hahahhaa make that 2500000!!!!!!!

  • i would have done something differently on that intake. looks like the creater was just searching his garage for something to make an intake out of. looks tacky. i would have used a polished aluminum intake tube....

  • @ilovegoatsecks I love goat secks too !!! :D

  • akrapovic exhaust

  • @teworist

made in sovenia.... i love slovenija

  • a screw type roots would be even cooler... but man that sounds SEXY!!!

  • @mbcyclery the centrifugal superchargers are more efficient, but yeah the whine of a roots would be awesome

  • @mageac centrifugal are more fficient on low boost... high boost can be done only by roots-type. That's why roots are used in dragsters... many stock car engines don't have enough power just to spin them :D

  • @TransAmDrifter roots blowers actually have less boost at higher rpms then centrifugal superchargers...

as in they are less efficient at high rpms...

but more efficent at low rpms, its give and take

  • @mageac it all depends on pulley rpms. Centrifugals aren't used too often when it comes to sc usage. There surely must be a reason for this.

  • stupid haters, well done. have fun ride safe

  • Omg, why on earth would you ever want to supercharge a motorcycle like that? Obviously only for testing on a runway, because no racetrack would ever contain that power!

  • @TheReapersSon

Its my road bike. Can be riden on a daily basis and is.

  • Muhah i want that turbo on my 50cc moped xD

  • id still rather a turbo hyabusa with 300bhp.

  • jealous...if u dont wanna talk about that. shut ur fcking mouth up...

  • how much does that weigh? i know superchargers are kinda heavy, so why not just add a turbo or sumtin, you get better mileage with the turbo too

  • that look´s likeits been speed up by editng

  • @supernortti Nope genuine, I have the datalogged figures!

  • ok mad max is jelous...

  • do you honestly need a super charger with a crotch rocket? like come on

  • @Hopkins12Bretzki3

on that P.O.S ya you do

  • @Hopkins12Bretzki3 its no longer a crotch rocket its a death rocket....hit a pebble at 200+mph on 2 wheels........bye

  • @Hopkins12Bretzki3 Do you honestly need to live, like come on. Justify yourself. Sorry.. I know you can't :)

  • Okay let's go see how it goWOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

  • @Nayega ur right man hahahaha

  • @Nayega lmao! so true

  • A nice polished job and a nice bike to boot ,great bike ,great vid, and you have a personality to make more vids like this one ...so more please!

  • @freemanbrook Exactly the point of my whole build, it was never about peak power, I'm a road rider who wants a bit more of everything hence the full suspension replacement and 'diet' for the whole bike.

  • @freemanbrook I'll agree to that. Good point!

  • This type of supe charger looks to be the kind that is basically the compressor stage of a turbo, But instead of being powerd by an exhuast turbine its powerd directly off the crank via that pulley and through a small gearbox, Thats why it needs that kind of RPM to run, A normal vain or screw supercharger doesnt need to run so fast but they would be too large to fit into a motorbike frame

  • SAT MAY 21 2011 BLACK BIRD RALY TORONTO CANADA

  • ghostriders 499hp busa would rip it up easy....

  • Ugly machine ... KAWASAKI is style -)

  • Velhonen the honda woulden't stand a chance maybe a kawasaki or something would have a better chance.

  • Sign me up!!!

aside from the shitty looking dryer vent hose for the air filter, that thing looks so bloody cool.

i didnt know a supercharger could run at 120,000rpm, that's amazing

  • not so fast as the yellow ghostrider busa turbo

  • Great, Built by a British guy using a Danish supercharger. that ought to be reliable haha.

  • WANNA HAVE ONE

  • This has got to be the worst put together "series" i have ever seen. A 10-year-old could do better.

  • dude just rev it.....and fuckin show us the way it goes you english scone eating pig...

  • is that akrapović exhaust?

  • @TheMariodoof yes...

  • akrapović exhaust?

  • Careful with that man!

  • Haters gon' hate.

  • such shitty bikes always the worst in their class

  • so easy way for thumbs up is to bitch about ending the video with like 10 seconds of actual riding time wtf

  • all i want to know is WHY?

  • @jabom99 because I wanted a nice civilised road bike!

  • FUUUUCK!!!!

  • that's fucking insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i believe stock power for the cbr1100xx is around 153...so plus 65, thats approaching 220 hp, which is an insane power rating for a bike. that would kill a busa.

  • @jw11432 that's about right, the motor could produce a lot more since the internals have been strengthened but keeping it at that level makes it very useable. The vid is now a little outdated, new forks, lightweight wheels and larger brakes fitted!

  • and why would you want to go that fast ?

  • @powertoweight100. It says 65 MORE bhp

  • Did they say 65bhp? That thing has to be at least 200BHP.

  • So.....just as soon as we get started we end the video??

  • Faster than my bike :)

  • Doideraa em....eu tenho uma...eu só do pau em 1100 pra cima!

  • Bulky equipment, especially the blower drive on the right. I'd have liked to have seen more action shots of the bike in action, like standing start acceleration, top speed, etc. Sounds great though!

  • ...I want wun :)

  • sped up flybys?

  • a little less conversation, alot more action.

  • i disagree... 65hp is not staggering. its respectable. the word stagger implies one will buckle at the knees when they hear something.... 65hp doesn't make anyone buckle at the knees. lets not muddy up the already bastardized English language.

  • @jojothedog1234 For a bolt on mod 65hp pretty respectable.

  • A staggering 65bhp its says!! LMAO Wow almost as much as my lawnmower

  • @TrippzinTx 65hp and 24lb/ft more than standard.

  • @knightlike101 Gotcha

  • @jojothedog1234 , it's staggering relative to the original power of the bike, or for a motorcycle. Percentage wise, it'd be on par with adding 200 horsepower to a Corvette; power/weight wise, it'd be like adding 360 hp. Staggering is relative, for sure.

  • Zajefajna Honda ;)!!!!!!!

  • how is 65hp increase staggering?

  • @jojothedog1234 Because that would put it at 210 and on a bike thats a lot.

  • @n84711

Why do you think "Kawasaki is shit" ?

  • I HATE ADVERTS!

  • Besides the supercharger....which is pretty cool, I would like too know what type of forks did you use on this particular bike?

  • Comment removed

  • The forks are ZX12R now changed for later ZX12R with Brembo radial monoblock brakes

  • in the description, 65bhp?? what? the cr500 makes 70hp!

  • @Blade4613 It says 65more not 65

  • @burningsociety oh yes sorry

  • @Blade4613

If you read the full sentence it says 'more than standard'.

That would make about 210 total....

  • why cant i view it?

  • sound sick :D i want one

  • @gig049

il sell you that one ;)

  • cute little centrifugal supercharger

  • Holy shit..

  • what a nerdy reviewer

  • Love it

  • ok, let see how it goes.

    ZOOOM!

    ZOOOM!

    ZOOM!

    went fast? :)

  • Ha! 1:38 awesome.

  • kick ass bike...nice convertion..it speaks for it self

  • oh my f_ing GOD! ITS AMAZING!!

    so whats the engine???

  • that plastic corrogated pipe is soo ugly!!!

it should be a legal necessity to ride like a bike like that everywhere ll the time lol

  • if its legal to kill ourself maybe^_^,.

  • What a fantastic piece of kit and such a nice guy too. despite what Morph says.

  • I expect the rider is a 5ft 11in superman not called Eric with a really small penis. Signed Morph. xx

  • I bet a dwarf called Eric rides it?

  • i have the 2003 Fuel injected model with some mods done to it cracks out 176bhp and i love it. Blackbirds are very under rated and i encourage anyone that hasnt ridden one to give it a go. ive ridden the Hayabusa the R1 the ZX14 and still id rather my CBR1100XX and im Very dissapointed that Honda has stopped making these truely Awesome bikes. Bring them back i say i wouldnt have anything else.

  • I have only just found out that my bike appears here and have enjoyed reading all the comments.

I built it from the ground up after the previous owner had unfortunately put it down the road.

Surprisingly this is still a 'friendly' road bike which is what I set out to build!

  • Why do people bother to make negative remarks? Its an awesome job and shows what a little cash / expertise can achieve.

If you don't like it then why bother looking in the 1st place and even dafter why waste your time being negative about one guy's passion??

    GET A GRIP!!!

    Steve

  • Steve, people generally make negative or rude commentsbecuase they are either jealous or know not what they are taliking about.Don't let i bother you mate..

  • What a nice bike.

  • dude... I'm jealous

hahaha wooooo I could dick around with that.

  • I couldn't imagine riding a supercharged blackbird, my NA bird is fast ebough.

    You guys are nuts!!!

  • sounded like a big kawasaki

  • my dad and our biker buddy got blackbird and i will recommended them this video

  • pointless but awesome

  • Nice bike. In response to (Freeker) if it was a cold start, it wouldn't be helpful to the engine really :P. It's beneficial to warm up most engine's before use to bring the motor up to operating temperature, and to make sure the oil got slurred around enough. But if he started it previously, it wouldn't be much of an issue. I didn't like the intake tubing, it look's too flexible and ridged, he would get better performance with an aluminum or composite pipe, with a nice and smooth interior.

  • man he started that thing and just started reving it... isn't that bad?

  • Supercharged Honda Blackbird vs Ghostrider's Busa Turbo

  • that busa has twice the amount of power compared to honda

  • @velhonen busa turbo

  • @PnlBtr U mean that Busa wins, eh ?

  • @velhonen would be good ta c

  • @velhonen ghostriders busa has 499 hp. and it's stripped down. nice bike but not even close, hondas a bit of a pig compared. Then u have to find someone as crazy as he is to even have a race.

  • kawasaki is shit

  • @luke26126

maybe you should read the title. this is a honda. You are right...for the most part kawasaki is shit though. but your still dumb..

  • haha no your dumb, i was saying that to the kid who said honda sucks or something

  • Sure that's why Zx10r and Zx6r are the best of their categories. Both won in 2009, Zx10r has won in 2008 and 2009. So, please if it's your personal opinion, read the tests and statistics before posting, kawasaki is legend.

  • let me guess, you ride a kawasaki?

  • exactly, and I've tried every 600cc because I'm looking for a new sport bike, so truely even if I was already a fan of kawasaki, I have to admit that 2009 zx6r is just above the others. But look, I said Kawasaki is legend, because they are always building something unique (2010 Z1000, Zx 6r, Zzr 1400) Their design and engine are like none others, when you see a lime green Zx 10r on the road seriously it's impossible to not watch it. But to ignore a Cbr is too easy.

  • @desperamika well, the zzr14 was just competition for the hayabusa, the zx6r is just a bike made for a racing class with certain criteria it has to meet. the only bike you mentioned there that might be unique is the z1000. i do happen to think those are magnificent motorcycles and dont get enough credit. inline 4 credit goes to honda's cb750. honda didnt suck until recently, honda v65 magna, cruiser with a v4 engine cranking over 100 horsepower over 25 YEARS ago. was the worlds fastest bike

  • honda Valkyrie, flat 6 cyilnder engine.. mountains of torque, the VFR interceptor, the CBX, the cb750, the goldwing, does kawasaki make anything other than an inline 4 or twin? how are their engines radical at all? i will admit hondas line up now is embarrassing compared to what they had just 7 years ago. in 2003 they killed all of their nice bikes. they had v twins, V fours, twins, inline 4s, flat 4s, flat 6's, inline 6's...

  • Well, that's exactly what I said: Kawasaki engine are pure, honda aren't nowadays. That's all, I know honda has a brillant past, kawasaki not, but hey we are not ine the past right? So I say Kawasaki is legend because they make characterial bikes, honda did but now not. The past of a brand don't make his position nowadays and kawasaki is showing it.

  • @desperamika

actually you rpast is truly what makes you a legend lol. no one talks about new stuff just the legends of the past. and kawi is alrigh ( i rid a kawi) they have a few cool things, but so does suzuki yamaha bmw, ducati..the list goes on and on. why dont they use a desmo valve train, why dont they do this....theres room for improvement in all brands and i guarantee that on the street its all same same...600cc = 600cc / 1000cc = 1000cc

  • @desperamika than why would they put a rebate on the 2009 zx6r??

  • @n84711 it's you're, dumb ass. ps, this bike is terrifying.

  • @n84711 how is kawasaki shit?

  • @n84711 kawasaki is not shit.. my 2000 zr-7 took me everywhere.. A zx-12r would kill a blackbird anyday.. the one bike that is shit though is harley davidson

  • @FullBloodedHmoob Does Kawa or Honda give you bike for free or do you have to pay for it? Stop being so stupid and arguing about brands. I have a Kawa Z750 (2010) and a Harley Fat Boy (2008). I like them both, but each one has it pros and cons. You can say that you dislike Harley because it is not a sportbike, but it´s NOT shit...

  • @wanndeco LOL, Harley is shit pal!. Stupid ass rednecks claim that harley is a better bike because it hold its value but the truth is - its only in their book.....Japanese bikes are the best in the world. People know it but they never want to except the facts
