Peron was able to change poor peasant farmers into meat exporters. The trickle down effect; cattle feed producers, transport etc. was phenomenal in their country, especially for the poor people who boomed under him.

In fact, when she told him she didn't want to play Christine on the New York stage, Weber threatened to cancel the production all together. They Divorced in 1990 due to "lifestyle differences" Wonder what those were? He still to this day calls her his "Angel of Music" She is stunning and has such a beautiful voice! I love her!

It's a nice version but in my opinion not the best. Though it's a question of personal taste, form me Julie Covington's version (first of them all!) is unbeatable, so far.

To those others who say LuPone resembles Evita best (someone commented she IS Eva Peron), I say "maybe": when singing LuPone does sound like Eva shouting when she addressed the crowd. I prefer a singer instead. She doesn't have to sound THAT real imitating Eva's rough style.
