To spare folks of this childish drama, why don't couples just get married at the courthouse when they get their marriage license, arrange for a reception later so that would give everyone time to give food and gifts and in the meantime, honeymoon in town. Get a room for two or three days and just hang out or sightsee in the city together. I believe that this will reduce a lot of headaches. :D

Yeah. I don't think people spend enough time REALLY getting to know someone before they marry them. Look how many people have kids and THEN find out that they disagree on discipline. Isn't that something that should be discussed early on? And what about the sisters, the bridesmaids that put up with the abuse?
