LOVE this theme sequence! I use to watch Edge Of Night at 4PM on WMUR Channel 9 (Manchester, NH). This was one of my favorites along with Search For Tomorrow, Santa Barbara, Another World, Dark Shadows and the short-lived Generations.

Well I don't think they played the full two minute close every episode. Soap Operas and Newscast only play the full endings with credits like once a week usually on the Friday epsiode. They still do that.

Absolutely brilliant theme song ... "Living circles of unending strife ..." I didn't start watching Edge until 1983, but I stayed until the very end. Always loved this version of the theme the most.

According to the Edge of Night home page, John Barranco, one of the collaborators/writers of the theme, is the singer. According to the same site, "The Edge of Night" is the name. No word on if there ever was an LP of it.

I best remember Lori from an 80's movie called 'The Night Before' opposite Keanu Reeves.
