Harry Potter "plot holes" and "literary gimmicks"?

For 2- Well Technically they couldn't do that anyway. In the books it says that the time turners were all smashed in the fight at the ministry

I wont go into plot holes because there are too many and people get offended. Here are some HP literary devices; Dobby saving the prisoners is a deus ex machina, snape is a red herring, it's all a self fulfilling prophecy, character names & objects are often blatant pastiche, the time turner creates a predestination paradox, the horcruxes and DH are mcguffins, Cedrics death is foreshadowing, liquid luck is chekhov's gun, Harry is the hero with a thousand faces. It's all monomyth. enjoy it.

Here's a question though, I don't remember in the books that Wormtail got his wand, and I also don't know how that works. If he got the wand, he would have to have hidden it somewhere and he spent almost 20 years with the weasley's, before voldemort died. So somehow, without being seen, which means mostlikely he had to stay a rat, he broke into gringotts, stole the wand, and hid it for a certain amount of time with no one noticing. Harry should have picked up on it with this connection to Tom.

4 - The Ministry of Magic's story on Cedric was that his death was an accident ("People die in this tournament Harry" - Hermione)

5 - They don't play a small role, the elder wand was one of the most important things in the story.

6 - He needed the elder wand to do it and tried to use it in DH

7 - It would be possible to do so, you could survive simply using the Killing Curse four spells would be more than enough imo (even though in the books there are more)

1 - Peter Pettigrew supposedly snuck into Goddrick's Hollow as a rat and stole Voldemort's wand back.

2 - The time turner was never used to change the past, It can't change what has happened (note Harry saw his patronus before he knew he cast it at the end of PoA)

3 - Yes, he was supposed to make it look like an accident so nobody knew Voldemort had returned, making it easier for him to seize control.

@Connelly90 the time turner explanation you just wrote about was the same explanation i believe, the time turner can't change the past, it only makes you part of it
