Zoom cyfrowy najlepiej wylaczyc, bo jaki jest cel go uzywac, zaden.....
No ale jakoś powoli łapie tą ostrość widzę... Mam go od kilku dni;p
Pozatym Canon SX20 i Panasonic sobie radzą, wiec sie da.
Best to use out doors - simple. Cam not designed to take photos of things on your wall - focusing system depends to some extent on good definition between different subjects in dull places like corner of room there is not enough definition..
Hi.Not sure....probably not:( - that's was one suggesion. As I said...because camera was freezing up on playback I got refund...then bought Canon SX20....so never had chance to try more option...but 3 others I've checked at local shop had the same "problem" + so so so laudy zoom engine...in SX20 you won't hear anything!
Yes....I think it should be pointed to Fuji...maybe they will do some general repair for everyone...or they should make official note about it. I know that it could be ok with MACRO on but I've never tried.
I was thinking about it and could agree with BUT....1-why focus is OK during zoominf process?2-why can take picture without problems...problem just when zooming? 3- Canon SX20 & Panasonic FZ38 (about 100pounds more expensive:( ) had no problems with it...?
I think it just how Fuji has done their camera...less price, less functions...
It just can't focus if you hold it in your hands and zoom so much to an object, there is always a point where you are too close too the object too focus. It's just something you have to know when your making a movie.
@endemion06463 - not sure...never had any to check :( - S2500HD much expensive if got the same it would be waste of money:( - Last best was S5600....at the enf I bought Canon SX20 and it's OK (aldo Panasonic FZ38 had no problem with AF when zooming on movie).I was some disapointed.I was even thinking to buy SonyA230 + some used JVC digital camcorder....
@endemion06463 :...No but I'm not sure if I could change to macro during recordig....I was recording at normal function and start to zoom....What I didn't understand was, why focus was OK during zooming and got to blur when zooming finish. anyway I've got refund as apart from it, camera was freezing up on playback (picture view)....but them I went to 2 local shops and checked cameras again....it was exaclty the same. I don't know why Fuji has done it like that.....also zoom engine was very loud.
Same problem with Fuji S1730 a clone of yours ,the camera is auto focusing therefore it is always moving in and out to compensate for movement, holding the camera still or using a tripod reduces the effect..John
Thank you Jahnteers for you comment. I've checked another one at local shop and it was the same effect with bluring once I stop zooming.
I decided to send camera back for refund as there was also problem with freezing during playback. Also focus doesn't work good when recording movies - slow response. Apart from that zoom mechanizm is too loud in my opinion according to for example canon
and "round lens effect" on pictures is also too much noticeable for me....much more that on TZ3. it's shame because it's very nice camera and I won't be able to find anything in similar price.
Would recomend any other camera - it doesn' need to be new model with milions of useless megapixles:)

I wonder if things are better for the S2000HD (almost the same camera from 2008).
