  • 愛知県出身の私は愛知の高校のLVの高さは嫌というほど知っていますが打率7割超えはもう笑ってしまうLVですね^^

    すばらしい

  • no way that is ichiro hitting that first homer

  • 日本の高校野球は決してレベルは低くない。地方大会とはいえ7割の打率は異常だな。

  • And the Dynasty to greatness begins....

  • Well i guess you've heard wrong, cause japan's no 1 sport is actually BASEBALL!!!!

  • #1??? so when he was in High School, he was a PITCHER...

PITCHER with over .700 avg??? why he choose Mariners instead National League team..

  • he must have been their pitcher too

  • Man You Know He Used2Get So Much pussy in Japan

  • Man. That's alot of people for a HS baseball game!!! like 10,000!!!

  • 清原の応援歌流れてるww

  • ehhhhhh i just want to move to Tokyo and get a megahot asian chick after watching this

  • One opposing manager apparently said of this kid Suzuki, "If you walk him, that's the same thing as giving up a triple" because he steals second and third all the time. His own manager apparently described him as "a space alien," in a culture where managers do not praise their own players...

  • the announcer said his batting average is .700 ...

  • man, he just shows up....

  • Japanese baseballplayers are one of the best in the whole world.

I just love how its a part of the culture overthere.

A friend of mine , who lives in Japan now, says its the #1 sport overthere.

    Isnt that great?

You'd think of judo, karate, or one of the other great sports they have,..but instead of that it is baseball. In Highs school in Japan, you must pick a sport, you must,..policy..and the most students pick baseball,so you can imagine how unbelievable populair baseball is in Japan.

  • @LewisTheDogue Even in Korea the number one sport is baseball. The Korean baseball league has the most attendance of any professional league in Korea.

  • @euijong Ok, i didnt know that.

    Well thats pretty cool!

I do know that Koreans are very good at baseball!

  • @euijong Koreans make any sports dirty.

  • @LewisTheDogue That is kinda misleading. Yes, baseball is absolutely one of the most popular sports in Japan, but especially nowadays soccer has been gaining popularity in Japan. I heard the population of soccer players outnumbered the one of baseball. And also when it comes to soccer, there are a lot of international matches compared to baseball, that might be the reason soccer gained the popularity, not to mention Japan has a really strong national team.

  • @soccerloverfootball baseball if far far far far more popular that soccer.

j league games get zero exposure. baseball games will always make the tv even during the busiest times.

I dunno what you heard but your wrong

  • @LewisTheDogue However, even though I like soccer the best, I also like baseball, too. I think there are also a lot of people who like both, like me! BTW, I hope Yu Darvish will be the No 1 pitcher in MLB.

  • why are they both wearing white uniforms?

  • Man what was cheap was Ichiro giving the batter the location of the pitch from second. Cheap, real cheap.

  • @LJSJIUJITSU Its common in baseball. But thats blatenly obvious

  • @LJSJIUJITSU ichiro was the hitter that got the location actually ... dumbass

  • Comment removed

  • i love that they have a pep band, and that it just plays the entire time

  • hahahah the girls became crazy when he entered XDD

  • Thats a lot of fans for a highschool game

  • @livetofreerunn That's pretty normal in Japan. High School Baseball : Japan, High School Football : Texas.

  • This is just a local competition, if you see all Japan's competion game you see it always draw crawds close to 50,000 people

  • Here's another one.「イチロー選手の高校時代①」

Aikodaimeiden VS chukyo In regionary preriminary round. batter #1 is Ichiro. (called "suzuki") His average is .722

chukyo has captured the victory in national convention(Koshien) many times.

  • bands would get so annoying for me during a baseball game..

  • @willzpotato yeah me too....

  • wow japanese high school games draw more fans than the mets.

  • @tornadic13 Anything can draw more fans than the mets!

  • 6 People Can't Hit a Homerun....

  • lucky im a master translater.

sadoda!- holy shit look at that

  • Announcer said his bat. avg is seven handred. wow

  • Wow..same swing lol

  • wow,for a high school game there sure are a lot of people. i've seen major league games which probably had a lower attendance than this.

  • @IamNotaThreat oh you mean Marlin home games?

  • im so jealouse of japan i play highschool baseball i wish we had those huge staduims with all those fans watching its like a minor leauge game

  • metal bat unfair!

  • @Viper582nd nah the 5 ppl were the opponents of this game

  • woa, he bats fourth in high school???

  • The supervisor said that he was a space alien.

  • the ladies love Ichiro...

  • Maybe it is different in Japanese High School Ball, but if the catcher jumps out of the box before the ball is thrown on an intentional walk, isn't it a balk?

  • @patrickweb no the catcher could also be calling time

  • Avg .700 ・・・・・・!><

  • Ichiro has been awesome his whole career

  • was ichiro wearing the ace number?

  • @Koorice

    since he was a pitcher

  • it looks like im watching an old 1950's video of baseball

  • oh so back then he has power

  • at 2:05 the guy totally tells him where the pitch location is hahaha

  • he must have gotten so much pussy

  • his avg was more than 0.7 in this tounament.

  • If you look closely, you'll see the ball circle the globe twice.

  • すけない(少ない)=名古屋弁だな

  • perfect swing

  • #1 wtf?

  • ichiro is not this good anymore

  • @wilzusuki he's better, obviously

  • He didn't have that samurai sword posing back then.

  • バッティングフォームが猫背w

  • i bet he used to get so much pussy

  • @BobBobGobGob still does lol

  • @BobBobGobGob Hell, he still does.

  • @BobBobGobGob Used to?

  • HE STILL DOES !!!! lol

  • @BobBobGobGob that bushy japanese pussay

  • look it's a bunch of wild asians

  • best asian baseball player

  • なななななななな7割てw

    バッティングセンターでもムリ

  • この鈴木と呼ばれている全国的に無名の選手が後にイチローと名乗り知らぬ人がいないほどのスターだからなぁ~

    世の中わからないもんだな!

  • then, he was a pitcher, and his school is strong still now.

  • That's just unfair. Who the hell would give ichiro an aluminum bat in high school. That's like giving Rambo a rocket launcher to use in a water gun fight

  • @MrFarenheitdontlie LOL SO TRUE!

  • @MrFarenheitdontlie lol no shit

  • @MrFarenheitdontlie that is so true it is like saying here is the winning trophy everybody else go home, even before the season starts

  • @MrFarenheitdontlie no its not they have nothing to do with eachother lol

  • that bat isnt aluminum.. its composite

  • @MrFarenheitdontlie HAHHAAHAHA

  • @MrFarenheitdontlie HAHAHAHAHAAH LMAO NICE ONE

  • i heard hes from the other planet

  • @mint090 ya its called japan its an odd place they say its like the future

  • They are using different bats, right?

Anyways, that's some awesome display of hitting.

I am sure Japanese are pissed at MLB for taking Ichiro away from them.

  • americans have no idea how great a player ichiro is. no clue. my only advice to him is to keep putting up 200 hit seasons and eventually shatter the all time hits record. the only competitive team he plays on is in the WBC and i watch how he helps and does his job in that. in japan he was so important to his team they won and he still racked up records. the team he plays for in america has no team spirit or unity or real care if they win, that's why the angels always beat them in the past.

  • @billyjoebutthed111 Yes we do understand how good he is. I too hope he breaks every record and that he goes to a better team so that he can win a series.. He SOOOO deserves it!

  • thats alot of people for a high school game. i'm jealous

  • @chstain08 yeah it their national tournament they have every year. I think they have two. But their school support is sick. I love watching it every year when I go to Japan. They have one for soccer to.

  • Damn I wish for our high school we had that many fans

  • haha he looks like Ty Cobb in those baggy pants

  • not many people know this but ichiro's a power hitter and a natural righty. he just likes the control factor of batting.

  • thats alot of fan girls -_________-;;;

  • idk what the hell they talking about but i'm sure they say you a great player ichiro

  • Just for your information.

At 06:20, the announcer says, "Oh, it seems the ptcher is going to walk Suzuki. It can't be helped because he bats 18 for 25, and that's 0.720 through this tournament."

  • He's a monster, incredible

  • 打ちたい放題だなこれは・・・・。

  • Could you please tell us what year this was. maybe the early 90's?

  • Well he was drafted out of high school in 91, so probably 90 ~ 91.

  • Pitcher Ichiro high school days

    v=silVck66aaI

  • Amazing!!!

  • the high school crowds are ridiculous :P

  • lol yeah.

    hes a beaast .

id be surprised if he evers hits under .300

  • its scary to think what his stats would be if he started in mlb usa when he got out of hs/college

  • yeah ur right.... he would have broken more records then he already has and i dont think anyone could touch him. even now, no one can really be as good as him. freakish really.

  • ichiro is crazy. he can hit homeruns if he wants to but he chooses not to because he want better average.

on batting practice he hits homerun everytime.

  • wow your an idiot

  • do explain?

  • I am the great cornholio

    I need tepee

    tepee for my Bonghole

  • is this koshien?

  • yea

  • Ave. 70%? lol

If I was the manager of the opponent team, I would walk Ichiro ALL THE TIME.

Doesn't it make sense, specially when the bases are loaded?

    What was the manager thinking?

  • with the bases loaded?? hahaha funny shyt

  • poljham07: "with the bases loaded?.."

    Sure!

100% chance of 1 run to the opponent is better than 70% chance of 2 runs(or more).

On top of that, if you keep the bases loaded, it's easier to get double play from the next batter(in case of no or 1 out).

  • lol who is ichiro "sozuki" and why do the search results redirect....lol

  • Ichiro is a professional baseball player!he played baseball in Japan for 10 years, then he started playing baseball here in America!he has been playing baseball here for 9 years.he plays on the Seattle Mariners!

  • i know dude, it's just a joke

  • "ichiro was creatured from outer space"

that's what his manager Nakamura said.

  • i wish i was him but mexican

  • Ichiro will never be mexican...

    I hope.

  • lolol

  • This is so Fkn cool!

  • his total batting average in high school is around.450. he was drafted to orix bluewave as their 4th pick, 48th overall. This tornament he hit above .700. But high school kids hitting above .700 aren't rarity. Sakamoto, a current batting champ in japanese baseball who plays in yomiuri giants, hit above .800 in one high school tornament.

  • 打率7割(笑

    一緒に練習してた同僚は、こんな化け物が

    身近にいたら、プロになるのを諦めるだろうな(笑

  • damn he was so skinny back then

  • Was that Matsuzaka pitching?

  • He at that time is ten years old. >matuzaka

  • The coach of his high school team called him "an Alien", according to the announcer.

  • and also "son of baseball".

  • mariners can't overcome the angels. more like the angels won't let anyone overcome them. ichiro only comes to bat once every 9 hitters it's up to his teammates to raise their game otherwise it will be another long season for them as well as the rest of the West.

  • Don't forget Griffey =P

It's still early but hopefully we can get close to .500

.700 average is pretty sweet even in high school. It's a wonder how he didn't get drafted in the first round

  • it's because the japanese managers who passed on him felt that his pendulum swing was too weird.

  • Too bad the Mariners killed the Angels 11-3 last night and now have a record of 7-2.

  • too bad vladamir is out for at least a month.

  • yeeeeaaa! he is with my mariners baby!

  • イチローと対戦した数多の球児達は今何を思うだろうか。

  • After the announcer says "Seef" 5:17 he has a funnny laugh!!

  • yaheyahaha lol thats the way he laughed

  • The announcer laughed because Ichiro was picked off by the pitcher and nearly tagged out on the third base as the anouncer was talking about Ichiro's good ability to steal the third base.

  • He did not actually laugh because the ball hit him in the back, which the announcer said.

  • That stolen base at the end was pretty slick.

  • i bet he was such a pimp in high school

  • Well what do you expect? He is playing for a team called maiden. I don't care if you say it's meidan I think it says maiden.

  • Meiden is abbreviation of Meiko Denki.

  • Video of Ichiro pitching

    youtube (DOT) com /watch?v=tvp-kuAX5Bg

  • Actually they said. .720 average in this tournament.

  • actually he wasn't so valued as much as Matsui or Matsuzaka in his high school years. after he became pro, prominent head coach, late Akira Ohgi brought out his talent.

    so Ichiro deeply respects him.

  • is the audience all girls?:)

  • nah he was just pimp in high school

  • ive never seen ichiro pitch

  • im pretty sure he would be the mariners ace rite now if they would let him pitch

  • Video of Ichiro pitching in Japanese All-Star game...

    youtube (DOT) com /watch?v=tvp-kuAX5Bg

  • Ichiro is the best!

  • Its not about being big and strong, its about bat speed

  • There were batting coaches who have said that during batting practice, Ichiro hit balls as far and deep as only McGwire could.

  • you dont have to be huge to hit a homerun, its all about bat speed . .

  • for someone so small and so skinny, he sure can generate hella lotta power.

  • don't get punched by Ichiro, he's got a throw of 144mph!

  • why does this comment have negative rating.

pleiotropicaction was telling a fact. At the time Hideki Matsui was a bigger topic in Japan than Ichiro. Especially when the pitcher gave an intentional walk to Hideki 5 times in a row in a single game.

  • And his rate was .7 at this tournament.

  • I guess japanese people favored a strong slugger more than a 0.7 Avg.

btw Ichiro's team lost at the first round in both 1990 and 1991. of course people will know more about hideki matsui because his team was actually winning in the tournament.

  • Wow, that stadium's really big for a HS game.

  • I think it's the Kōshien HS tournament. It's a huge event in Japan, like the NCAA tourney here.
