We filled the leg of an old pair of panty hose with pebbles and put it in the bottom of the black pot then placed the pot on the concrete in front of our garage. This had the added benefit of stopping dirt from coming out of the holes in the bottom of the pot as well as absorbing heat from the concrete and reflecting heat from off the garage.
so ive never had a plumeria til this year and did everything contrary to what you said to do ha and mine the cutting has grown from 6 inches to 4 feet since april but it hasnt branched out just grown straight up and also how do you know what color flowers you have?
What do you mean scab over? I have these cuttings from Hawaii - and they have been in water and are growing ... do I take them out of the water and keep them damp?
Hi your video is very helpful. I got 2 cuttings from Hawaii in March. It's been almost 2 months. There's no sign of growth from the small cutting (~7 inch in length total) and a little bit of tiny brownish spikes coming out from the longer cutting (~15 inch)...So I took out the small cutting from the pot and sure enough there's nothing growing...what do I do with it? Do I repeat and try again?
im starting to get my plumeria ready for winter storage, but an inflo just started growing, do i have to cut or do u think it will be fine through the winter?
@Gerod05 I woud leave it on the plant through the winter if it doesn't bloom within a month then cut it off. Make sure you keep track because if you don't cut it off at the right time it will draw energy out of the plant and cause the branches to wrinkle and wither. Thanks for watching.
@Gerod05 i live in souther california leave them outside and they do ok..............they do loose they foliage in winter but grows back in spring........
I live in inland Empire, where can I find plumeria cuttings?

Very helpful video. I grew Plumeria from seed a couple of years ago and they are now very healthy plants growing at my home in Spain.

@MrJeer10 There is really no way to tell what color you have until it blooms. I wish there was a way. Good luck with your Plumies :)
