Pretty cool pedal but a little too gloopy sounding for my tastes. They've used either the phase 90 or phase 100 circuit, but the original phase 45 better -- subtler and more natural. When you turn up the speed on a phase 45 it sounds like a leslie rather than a ray gun.

i have a russian small stone and it has an audible clicking when it is in the loop. Does this pedal have that problem, and is there a fix for that sort of thing.

Hi Andy,

This is a lovely sounding pedal, but I have noticed that the audio is in stereo (while the pedal AFAIK is mono). This is also true of the Chicklet video. When you collapse the signal to mono (as you would hear it through an amp) the sound is quite different and far less rich. Could you explain why the audio on some of these mono pedal videos is in stereo? Thanks.

We regularly use a two-mic setup, even for mono guitar signals. Stereo micing offers a more complex, more realistic representation of the sound (unless you're deaf in one ear). Naturally, when summed to mono, it's going to sound flat and one-dimensional by comparison. It's also likely that you're hearing some phase cancellation in the mono sum.

@ProGuitarShopDemos Oh that's really interesting, because in another video someone commented on why you didn't use stereo outs on pedals to demonstrate unique stereo out signals, the TC SCF for example. The response was: using a stereo recording process would be far too time intensive and costly.

They go hand in hand. Higher frequencies will jump out and sound more intense, but yes it's really changing the frequency sweep not a blend or intensity.
