How do you play parallel thirds, fourths, fifths, and sixths prestissimo in one hand??...perhaps Ligetti believed in aliens and hoped one of them came and played it.?!?
Prestissimo, with indication "senza pedale" and noted that it should be very even. I think the ideal performance has yet to be achieved. I think that is true for a lot of Ligeti's etudes.
@Starbirdy9999 yeah this is one of the semi-impossible ones... it's kind of crazy. Even this recording botches entire pages - but the best I've heard is laurent-aimard... but that's kind of a given :)

Definitely one of my favorite Ligeti Etudes. I don't know why this piece isn't as popular as it should be.
