  • How do you play parallel thirds, fourths, fifths, and sixths prestissimo in one hand??...perhaps Ligetti believed in aliens and hoped one of them came and played it.?!?

  • Prestissimo, with indication "senza pedale" and noted that it should be very even. I think the ideal performance has yet to be achieved. I think that is true for a lot of Ligeti's etudes.

  • Definitely one of my favorite Ligeti Etudes. I don't know why this piece isn't as popular as it should be.

  • @Starbirdy9999 yeah this is one of the semi-impossible ones... it's kind of crazy. Even this recording botches entire pages - but the best I've heard is laurent-aimard... but that's kind of a given :)
