Awesome video. I have a feeder close to my window and they mostly perch to drink, but can't seem to get good close up pictures. Guess I need a better camera!
I think he was just trying to stay warm, it was cold and damp that day. The feeder is right above him, he chased off several other hummingbirds while resting there.
Great video of this little bird. To those asking, hummers are always very twitchy. They live their lives on a sugar high, and it shows.

She's just breathing. They have small lungs, so they breathe much faster then us.

I've never seen a hummingbird at rest! It seemed like he was breathing very fast~ maybe they have to catch their breath after flying around?
What was all that construction sound in the background? Hope his little nest is safe from bulldozers. Thanks for posting this, it's unique.
