  • but you never get to know the motherfuckers in the inside haahahahahah

  • swedish people they are nice i mean on the outside

but in the inside you dont know

what they are thinking hahahahahaah so fucking true

  • fuck i lived 20 years in sweden swedes are rude nonsocial 100% trully egoistic fuck i hate this fucking country i gonna move to canada

  • LoL @ holding the door is not typical Swedish, then you show non-Swedish people not holding the door :D

  • 5:18 typical swedes nowadays. Not pure blonde hair and brown eyes.Last blondes will be born in Finland.

  • @GreedAndSelfishness Lol, idiot. Brown-haired swedes have existed for centuries, millenias even. Finns donät have the same etnicity as swedes, they're genetically quite far away from each other, so you can't compare the rate of blondes in the swedish population with the finnish one.

  • @blasphemytard teehee

  • Cant you talk about the bad things about European Union instead? please. The union sucks.

  • This is soooo funny! But please take it with some humor.

  • Aaw you guys are so mean! We are not that cold and impolite :<

  • Swedes are cold, the native people of Sweden lack of respect to their parents, they leave them in home for old people when they get old. It's very hard to find help for directions in Sweden if you compare it to London, Spain or in America.

The swedes work like this, if they dont have to be polite, they dont.

But swedes are far better than the french and the germans i'd have to say.

  • @MrTorrHumor

I think the problem with the respect is rather that the parents are trying to be friends instead of parents to their children, herr DryHumour ;)

  • Bah I import most of my alchohol from Germany since it's _much_ cheaper. It's preatty common if you live on the west coast. ;)

If I remember correctly we import/smuggle about 50% of our alcoholic beverages. That number is probably a bit higher atm since the euro is unusually weak compared to the swedish krona.

  • If someone would sit next to me in the bus or subway (if there were a lot of other empty seats) I would think something like "What does this person want with me?" and if it's a person in my age and opposite sex I would almost take it as a flirt. Anyway I would feel very awkward EXCEPT if it was a child or an old man/woman.

  • I never understood that cold/unfriendly stereotype. To me they're just low key and quietly friendly. They just don't overdo it and become pushy. In some countries people are so,erm, pathologically friendly it's terrifying.

  • haha all the word "swedish" means are girls and blonde hair xDDD

  • I heard "One of the brighter sides of the European Union..." and then I stopped watching.

There's nothing bright about the EU!!

  • Swedes are the coldest people I've ever met and I've lived in Sweden for many years so I know what I'm talking about.

  • @yasashii89 Cold people in a cold country.

  • Im not Swedish nor white but i feel the same way about the subway situation it is weird, and the door thing come on! everyone in the world do the same thing i dont necessarily see it as rude, you have your own hands to push it

  • PERSONAL. DAMN. SPACE.

  • ofc if there is an almost empty bus or train u dont sit next to that one stranger that also is there, ofc thats weird, and that door thing, i think norwegians are a little bit better on that lol

  • surprisingly truthful... well i guess in a steryotypical way.. not ALL swedes are like this.. but for a forigner its mostly the case..

  • AHHH!! Sweden are much more than you can see here. They show us in a bad way. We aren't like that...

  • @The2010North You're not? But I like what this video is saying about Sweden:)

  • @The2010North Sorry friend! that is exactly how we are.

  • @The2010North thats right !

  • Macnavor

Its polite to give your seat away for old people if the bus/train are full but you some people dont and when i get old im gonna be screaming and jelling at young disrespectfull kids haha

  • Comment removed

  • hey!! i find a fucking subliminal messages in your docu.

something with UNCENSORED or something pretty weird what are you trying to say? between 4.55 until 4.59 minutes in part 1

  • Look at all the black coats...

  • öööööh berättarrösten är svensk

    låter JÄTTEbrittisk iaf:0

  • LOL thanks for posting this, i love hearing the swedish language. i am more motivated to live there now

  • Typical Swedish: fucking rude, no respect for girlfriends/women. When a Swedish lass goes out with a Brit she never goes back. Fuck em

  • @AtticusStount British are known to be drunk rude working trash with no style, they're drunk all the time on vacations, sorry to burst you bubble.

  • @Imhornydadcomeinside Va? Britter är ju helsköna, snackar du om...

  • @AtticusStount rassist

  • @AtticusStount Fuck you.

  • q house servise will help you to apply to study in Sweden

  • @keaien fin svenska

  • @880514JP Should have just used english. My swedish is just so low-level. It's only one sentence and it's so wrong (words, grammar etc.) . Luckily I don't live in sweden. Altrough I should speak better swedish as I live in Finland....

  • @880514JP

Or alternatively speak British English and draw the women towards us like a magnet.

  • hahahahahaha... FY FAN !!!

  • I am a second generation Swede. It's ironic, but I married a second generation swede also. We live in America. lol

  • LMAO. wat? It's like that anywhere though...I live in Canada and when I'm on the subway people don't sit next to other people they don't know, unless there's no where else to sit. I don't like the stereotype that says Swedes are antisocial. lmao....But there are so many blondes in Sweden, and blondes tend to be shy, but that's different from antisocial...so maybe "stereotype of antisocial Swedes" just comes from "shy blonde people" which you will find any country you go...lol!

  • I live in Sweden. In my hometown we always holds the door for each other. this video sucks and does not show the truth about Sweden and the Swedes. Sweden is a fantastic country to live in, given a bit cold in the winter but there is nothing that beats a Swedish summer!!

  • student of swedology, lol XD

  • 3:00 in Venezuela is polite to give your side seat to another person!!!! Do swedes think is weird???? Excuse me but weird would be to faint over a person lol!!!!!

  • @Macnavor 1st reaction would we "hes gonna molest me"

  • @Pys3n again that's weird but maybe they sufer a lot in their society so that's why they react like that

  • @Macnavor Exactly. In Poland we also give up seats to elderly people and pregnant women :)

  • @Macnavor

We don't think it's weird to give your seat away...that is polite in Sweden too.

  • "When the night comes, the Swedes transform themselves."

Oh shit, I laughed so hard at that one.

  • vilket jävla skit!!

  • Haha Agreed!

  • Its never been like that musepigg and it will probably never be.Maybe for adopted in Sweden its different but an inmigrant is allways an inmigrant even if she/he lives in the country 20 years speak good swedish or got a passport/ citizenship. Even if you are born in Sweden its in of to have parents who are not swedish to not be consider as a Swedish. THATS the end of the story mate. Dont tell me

    Med vänliga hälsningar ;-)~

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA antisocial swedes :D

  • no, swedes don't like boasting, and would rather listen to people rather than listening to themselves

  • if ppl don t watch this video they will think sweden is the best, otherwise they will think it s just lagom...with all this alcohol stuff and doors and then fighting...come on guys, it s all exeggerated, it s all just half true.

  • is it true that in sweden many believe that gender is only a "social construction" and that there are no differencies between men and womens behavour by nature... if they didint go trough that "comstructiuon" ?? I have a friend she lived in sweden she said many swedes think like this.. is it true?

  • @BANDiTiSM Yes, that's partly true but mostly intellicetuals or academics who ponder the gender inequality. However, I don't think that most think that it is only a social construction, but that biology has some part in gender as well..

  • @BANDiTiSM

I suppose. Many Swedes question their gender roles becaus they strive for equality in every sense of the word.

  • wow, funny vid..glad tat i watched it.

  • On the socializing level these folks are the most reserved and primitive.

  • @Isambay

Primitive? How does reserved equal primitive? Infact, swedes social behaviour is regarded as the most modern in the world.

  • and thats why its so failed... 2 have a "modern" behaviour is to be unfaithful, egoistic and unsocial

  • How are these "modern" traits? Modern social behaviour is not klinging to family but being self sufficient and self reliant. This would include moving out and finding your own place early in life, marrying late, if at all, having few cilldren and pursuing equality in a relationship. Meaning, no gender roles.

What you mentioned as "modern" traits are flaws in character. It has nothing to do with modern behaviour but are flaws you kan find in any society in the world.

  • I don't know what backwards fucking country you hail from but I'm sure it's lawless and full off imbeciles like you. People prone to violence dishonesty, corruption and beating women.

  • If I were to live in your home country I'm sure I'd say the same. It has much to do with culture and little to do with right and wrong.

I'm not sure why your stay made you so bitter, I can only speculate, and frankly I don't really care.

  • The thing about the subway behaviour is not typically swedish... it is considered weird all around the globe to sit next to a stranger.

  • @sucramnormark exactly haha

  • @sucramnormark I don't think so.

  • @sucramnormark I understnad Swedes on this one but in my country most people don't feel the same way (I live in Poland).

  • to bad they didnt show much of the younger people XD it would have been so much fun to see some fjortisar haha :)

  • lol..systemblogat...jag älskar sverige

  • "When the night comes, the Swedes transform themselves". lol

  • I liked the way you pronouced the Swe. words correctly except "Krona". But personally I think Sweden= Finland. After centuries of being united we have become the same, with minor differences, like the school systems and immigration policies but the language being the biggest. Still the nature of the landscape and people are the same in both countries, Espesially that part in the subway! But it's no wonder, about 4-5 million swedes have some family history with immigrants from Finland.

  • fins and swedes are not the same race

  • It's Finns, and what do you mean race? Were all the same race!

  • Linguistics doesn´t equal race ;-)

(not only) physically, they are pretty much same.

  • You really don't know what you're talking about.

Immigration policy being a minor difference? That would be a major difference!

  • Haha, hilarious! I live in Sweden and the thing that I liked the most is that you brought up the word "lagom" and that we rarely hold the door. (it's different in Gothenburg however, a few people hold the doors)

  • Problem with the alcohol thing is that Swedish people don't get all of there alcohol from "Systembolaget" a lot comes from smuggling and private trips to Germany or Denmark.

  • haha, if the word "lagom" is perfect, then why not change "lagom" to perfect.

  • This clip is hilarious! I have Swedish ancestry, and perhaps this sort of behavior is passed down through lineage as well. If you found this video offensive, just rewind to the disclaimer at the beginning: it's a terrible, terribly funny documentary.

  • And why is Erkan not Swedish after having lived here for 15 years? He looks what? 17? Are you implying that behaviour is genetic? He's Swedish. The end.

  • Im just gonna say something here. (not knowing if or what you have been discussion). To be considered a swede by law your mother has to be born in sweden. Thats all there is to it..... But I personally would consider HIM a swede no doubt.

  • Yeah, that's true. :) Otherwise you're listed as "Swedish of foreign descent." ;D I think he's Swedish too. =) Swedish turks. <3 :D

  • I agree. It is infinitely annoying and backwards how people categorize "Swedes" merely by racial biological standards. If you live in Sweden and have a Swedish citizenship then you are Swedish! end of story.

  • LOL! XD this is soo funny..

    I am from Sweden..

  • IM PURE SWEED YAY!!!

  • I´dont think every swede thinks sweden is the best country :S they haven´t talked to every one.

  • yeah that was little odd.

I remember before Iraq war how swedes all love america and hated sweden and always complained about the taxation, weather, lack of jobbs and etc.

  • About hair color, scandinavians have a more grey-blond and brown color in the hair than the germans. Blond was very common among the germans while in amongs the scandinavian it was more silver-blond and brown-blond. It´s hard to describe the color but my hair has a brown-blond color of some sort.

  • I loled IRL several times. I live in sweden and are a swede and I think that everything that was said on this vid (except the drinking thing! We fight cuz its fun!!) was true :)

  • Yes I think we are more helpfull with the doorthing, and we got many kind of peoples!

    Not only blonde ones=S

    C´mon...

  • ahhaahha i love how jealous people like u are about sweden :D

  • I'm a 100% swede and I'm not blond, I have dark hair and coloured skin. The swedes are mixed, there are cold swedes, there are warm swedes, religious, antireligious, nazis, antinazis.

They're humans, like any other, and can't be placed in one group.

  • "I have dark hair and coloured skin."

    U dont sound like a Swede :S

  • But I am, I lived in sweden in all my life, and there are many coloured people in sweden.

  • " many coloured people in sweden."

many of them are foreigners, Im not colour.. I dont have dark hair. Sweden is the Country in the North (Europe) with the biggest ammount of Blonds.

I just wanted to point that out.

  • About that blond thing, do you really think that will even last? I mean don't expect Sweden to be blond when you have like over one million dark foreigners in your country, that's just stupid.

Yes, it's very nazistic to be proud of that blond thing, that's racism, not nationalism.

And I can tell you that I have seen a lot of dark haired and coloured people in Kiruna too, there are immigrants everywhere, so it won't last dude, I'm sorry.

  • Thats why its so sad. ANd about that Kiruna thing, its probably becaus so many of them have sami blood.

  • Haha go read a book or something -.- It's not nazistic to be proud about being blonde. I think my blonde hair makes me look good so now I'm a nazi? And I think it's cool that my country is the country with most blondes. So now I'm a nazi? I still think we should welcome foreigners and I have nothing against their looks or way of being. But yeah sure I'm a nazi cause I like being blonde! -.-

  • Yeap, you're a fagnazi, and about Sweden being the blondest country on earth, well just see if that's true in fifty years.

  • I think Norway is...xD

  • No youre letting in immigrants all over your country.

  • U are a foreigner right? Ur not pure Swedish.

And about Sweden taking in so many Foreigners is bad.. I dont think we should do it...

  • im not a rasist or anything but we have takin in so many we cant even pay for..their just not getting a good life and we r getting higher taxes

  • Fucking nazis, you give sweden a bad name

  • We're all human, that is absolutely true. But different races do exist and one is the germanic race which consist of different tribes.

One is the scandinavian and even among these nations there are differences which have formed or chaped these people.

They could be geographical differences, scarcity or abundance of food sources, climate or social differences.

  • Over many thousands of years the people who have lived here from generation to generation must logically be regarded as ethnic swedes. To so easily dismiss this fact and simply say that being a Swede is just a matter of what your passport says is incorrect.

These sentiments robs a people of it's heritage and culture

  • To take pride in your heritage and origin is a positiv thing and helps shape your self image and your place among other ethnicities and nations. To loose once herritage is to loose a part of your identity.

  • Everyone, wether ethnicaly swedish or a swedish immigrant or both, should pursue their heritage so that they feel confident in who they are. People who lack this self-image often feel uncomfortable and lost. They feel they don't know what their "role" is in this society and shun/turn away from it. Knowing what you are and taking pride in it is essential for us all to live together without recentment.

  • We should instead cellebrate our differences aswell as the things we share and take pride in the country we live in becaus we are all a part of it.

  • I dont think swedes are cold. They are just not annoyingly warm as many others.

  • to NOT hold the door isnt typical swedish :S everyone holds the door for everyone belive me

  • Agree totaylly with you....

  • that would be in stockholm in that case

  • ITS genial, its all true

  • Sweden are Cool Haha I'm from swedwn and i'm cool XD

  • I am living in Lund, every one will hold the door. Not holding the door seems contradiction in the real life in Lund.

  • ahahahaha a very good documentary and most where true! ok some was maybe not all correct!

and when we talk about alcohol, well... youngsters who haven't gotten a good upbringing!

  • the pirate bay ftw!

  • yea we must be diffrent from others ,, we are the smartest.......how smart is it to test that ''hold the door open'' test at a door where it coming people all the time? at the fucking central of stockholm...

couldn't you choosen another door ???

and couldn't you choosen another city ,, like Malmö or Gothemburg...

Don't judge this wonderful country after this clip... oke ?

  • Din pres är genialisk

  • You can tell a Swede but you can't tell him too much, ask him a intelligant reasonable question, all you get is "huh?" LOL

Swedes will put it "BLINK BEFORE YOU BLEAT"

  • or maybe they all were weird or the goetsh and swedes mixed with "Other" nonindoeuropean" people, and picked the weird things from them not the samis though, they are not like that

  • Swedes are indeed different its a complete mystery that they have a mentally different from even norwegians wich are of the same stock, and also from the other germanic tribes, angles, jutes, frisians, dutch, germans...

  • sweden are cool! shut up

  • Don't worry. Swedes aren't the only people won't hold the door for others, this also happens in Hong Kong. I live in HK for several years and I used to hold the door myself. It's wierd in Hong Kong that some people hold the door for you.

By the way are you really Swedish?

  • Good lesson of "swedology", Swedes are classy.

  • Yes I think sitting near others you don't know is rather impolite, not only in Sweden, but I guess most people will sit alone rather than crowd with others.

Once I went to a Swedish ship Gotheberg, I really saw most crews wearing sunglasses, that's so cute!

  • Isn't it the fourth largest territory, don't forget Russia. I mean, only the Russian part in Europe are bigger than other countries in Europe. Or maybe they mean the EU?

  • pretty funny but i think the swedes is a lot different in the south.. no problem to start talking to anybody on the streets and the sausage is red but the most people eating kebab haha

  • hahaha swedology men ofta

  • Funny thing, that they chosed Stockholm for shootingplace, since Stockholm is (by swedes) known as the most rude city in sweden! Na, na, na... Gothenburg is the shit! At least down here, it's not very wierd to sit next to a stranger on the bus, and most of the poeple hold up the door, if someone is right behind them... But, you should probably not take this so seriously, as I can see some have... I mean, it's just a fun thing!

  • stockholm is the rudest city in sweden, go to MALMÖ- wonderful like "calm" city, with open-minded people.

  • ye but this is done by swedes living in stockholm, They probably never been anywhere else.

Vadå "all Swedes think they live in the best country in the world"?

  • It is funny but not so true.

  • Well, this video is very funny :P Sounds like they are animals or something.. :)

  • alice minda <3

  • haha, gillar de två fjortisarna som intervjuvas.

    Lol, Minda och Alice

  • what a well-made video(or is it like a tv thing?)

  • no... just a well made video, I think. I mean... kind of poor for television, don't you think?

  • Bra gjort!
