In the older Ratchet and Clanks (In fact it may just have been the first one) you could used the thruster pack to do some crazy dive bomb attack. It was mainly used for activating certain switches, but it still stood as a difference between itself and the heli-pack.

the heli-pack has a higher high jump as well as a height boost when you glide with it

And I have to say, it is really easy...Which is unusual, because I think even the simplest games are hard...but this is easy in a fun sort of way. xD I enjoyed for once not having to struggle. :) I hate the names they come up with the weapons though! I just name them myself too :P haha.

Ratchet has survived 6 crash landings and clank has survived 6 too, if we include the very first ship clank crashed to veldin in, the crash with the time vortex at the start of ACIT, and the meteor they were both on near the end of ACIT ;)

Good playthrough, I agree with you on the differences. The PS3 R&C games are a bit more serious than the PS2 titles but I'm glad they kept the humor and satire in the game. Another major difference are the sound effects too.
