Well the air thing gives it the ability to attack air units instead of ground units. They could put an oversized reaper Jetpack on it, cheaper, less complex, less frail, and even more versitile. Or just slap rocket launchers on its back to shoot air units. But thats where the balance comes in ._. cant make it 'too' real if it causes inbalance. i.e. a handful of marines can shoot down a battlecruiser
