I would recommend to write as many original songs as fast as you can. Write some with humor, some high and lonesome songs, Try a little Carol King in your videos, I believe in your case it's not if you will be a star, but when? Exposure is what you need more than anything. I like hard row to hoe, great stuff!!

I have to agree with previous posters, this is by far the best performance of Jolene here (must say I prefer this to eveb Dollys version), and even if I really Brooke White's version I must say you're one notch higher. And White Stripes belong in the trashcan.

Thank you so much. Dolly now performs Jolene differently than she did when she first released it. I was pretty underwhelmed by Brooke's take on it because I was a big fan of hers and I think the song has bigger potential than she gave it. Two really good performances I can recommend are Mindy Smith's version (which first appeared on "Just Because I'm A Woman" and later on Mindy's "One Moment More") and Alison Krauss' version with Suzanne Cox and Cheryl White on the TV special honoring Dolly.
