Virginia has the same BS. I was in a hit & run accident TWICE this week, and the police couldn't care less about tracking them down. Even though I handed them the 2 driver's license plate and all.

Hope someone finds them. Vehicle damage hit-and-run is bad enough; yet, I don't understand how the cops can ignore it when someone is injured... I had a hit-and-run happen to me (not injured, fortunately); I might keep a GroPro attached to my bike and car when I'm riding.

That is some crap police work. Thank God the rider had helmet and good riding gear. If not they would no doubt be dead.

I really get pissed off at motorcycles killing their self and others by riding stupid, but when stuff like this happens, it makes me mad. I wounder if the person driving was a cop or some one? May be DUI? Hope they catch them, but it sounds like the cops don't care. That is crazy.

I just saw something like this happen right in front of me a week ago. I was gonna chase the guy down but the rider was down in the middle of the road and looked hurt so I parked in front of him so he wouldn't get hit and went to help him. thankfully he was fine but his bike was trashed we ended up putting it in the back of my truck and i gave him a ride home.

we drove around looking for the van that hit him for a while looking at gas stations and other places they might have gone but couldn't find him. The cops were complete asses and never did anything about it. Hopefully his insurance company will be better then yours(M13 said u got screwed). LoL, but seriously, this is ashame. I had a somebody pull right out in front of me about a year ago. It was in a turn, and when I applied the brakes my bike twisted and contorted under me. I went off the road to avoid her and ended up with a busted radiator and a busted leg. The cops did nothing.

The police most likely profiled you because you were operating a motorbike, which leads them to believe you were being reckless in some way. YES, it's profiling, and YES, it's wrong. Their apathy towards your case is certainly a disgrace. With proper thought, you could find the person who did this. Just a few details from eyewitnesses could reveal the year the Laredo was manufactured, for instance. It's a shame.

look for a jeep thats had work done on it or damage to the right side its a jeep cherokee lerado.. those words will be missing no matter what else is on that jeep, and likely the chrome strip will not have been replace but it will likely still be on the drivers side. Its a local driver.. pretty sure of that. They live in ADY or Street

grab every bit of document you can get your fist around and get a layer, take it to court and sue you hospital sue your insurance company sue the poilce and the wanker in the jeep if you find who he/she is. America is way different with insurances. In Europe insurance is compulsory by law, meaning there is no way to live without one, in america you have the freedom to decide if you want an insurance or not. Guess what works better ;-)

Not every person in America can afford insurance, most would not have it if it were not part of their job benefits package where they get a group rate through their employer. Private insurance companies screen to make sure you are perfectly healthy if you are not, you dont get insurance with them. Its all about them making money betting on you not needing insurance coverage for a long time

I personally have not been out searching and its only because I can't physically do so at this time. The person is a local driver in town. I have made calls repeated to the maryland state police and the the trooper that did the report refused to answer or return calls and thats why I have needed any and everyone willing to call and harrass them over trooper Monk and his corporal who just don't care.

I think you should sue your motorcycle insurance agency. I don't know all of the facts, but if you made the next payment to cover you for (however long) then you might have a chance in court(unless your contract expired or something).

I followed M13's vid to here and felt very angry what the police did. I had a same situation but not as serious as yours. I almost got t-boned by a car which ran a red light, I recorded the license plate and called the police. the police pretended to write down the information and then told me that there's no meaning of doing that because there was no damage on my bike. the cop also found the driver had no driver's license, but they did nothing.

so far my bills directly for non doctor related medical is just over 130k us, then the doctors bills and labs are well they are high too, my immediate concern is my weekly treatments and medication costs, it runs me about 190 a week so I have pick and choose which of the meds I feel I need most since I can't afford all the prescriptions each week.
