And UFC has now caught up with WWE in the "entertainment" stakes with building matches and characters also. So killing ECW was essentially killing Wrestling.

joey was angry that he tried to tarnish the ecw title on wcw television. taz and sabu never tried to hurt ecw when they left other then the absence of there talent.
It's all just a work guys. Obviously Paul E and WCW agreed to let Awesome be announced as the ECW champion, probably to cut his contract w/ ECW short so he could go to WCW. That was basically free promotion on WCW TV for ECW.
Joey Styles is the best commentator ever. He is a true legend the WWE have no idea what real talent is. I met Joey prior to WM23 and he is the nicest guy you could ever meet.
Without a doubt a talent. He was the only commentator who could pull off the job of calling a wreslting match all by himself! He called the match and did color commentary!

Man you talk about a straight shoot on Mike Awesome, Joey Styles DOES make a valid point.
Albeit he was a great athlete, he had it made in ECW but sometimes in real life money always takes away from tradition and albeit he was a judas.
But never the less, he will be missed and was one of my all time favorites.

it was kind of surprising to hear joey styles is a hardcore repub. nothing is wrong with that. but when look at his history. he worked for a rebel company that featured lesbian angles, extramarital affairs, strippers, vulgar language, a cruxification, the exploitation of kids. it is very ironic.

and besides WCW was paying Mike $1,000,000, $1M vs. $250K (which is what I hear he was making) and not having to get chair shots and barbed wire for the $1M I'd jump too. But I can udnerstand them being angry about not giving a notice and subsequently burying the ecw title: having it change hands 3 times in 2 weeks and having Tazz lose to Triple H on RAW.

joey was angry that he tried to tarnish the ecw title on wcw television. taz and sabu never tried to hurt ecw when they left other then the absence of there talent.

It's all just a work guys. Obviously Paul E and WCW agreed to let Awesome be announced as the ECW champion, probably to cut his contract w/ ECW short so he could go to WCW. That was basically free promotion on WCW TV for ECW.

Joey Styles is the best commentator ever. He is a true legend the WWE have no idea what real talent is. I met Joey prior to WM23 and he is the nicest guy you could ever meet.

ecw was awesome and todays ecw may not be extreme but it more like wcw talented guys who fight for like 30 min and it gets u on ur feet. in my opinion both ecw's rule
