This band is incredible! Their album is fantastic, saw them first at glasto on tv. I think their sponsored by Gillette or is that ZZ top? Seriously though! Highly reccomended!!!!! Chill....
What would you call a 'Glasto type band' then? If you've ever been you'll know that there is plenty of amazing music such as this that the bbc cameras usually miss in favour of indie pop bands and similar tripe.
Well I look at the crowd and think that The Fleet Foxes audience are definatly not the type to sit and camp out. Look at the difference in reaction with these from when pendulum is on
I'm guessing you've never been to Glastonbury then.
The special thing about Glasto is that it doesn't track itself towards a single audience like other festivals; there's something for everyone no matter how old you are and what walk of life you come from. There are over 24 different stages spanning many different genres; from folk to hip-hop, world, rock, jazz, dance etc etc. It's unfortunate that TV "best bits" programs seem to rarely show anything that isn't fashionable at that time.
This year there were so many fantastic acts playing, such as Fleet Foxes, The Specials, Fairport Convention, Ray Davies (of The Kinks) Crosby Stills & Nash, Neil Young, Amadou & Mariam, Roots Manuva, Tom Jones, Status Quo, Easy Star All Stars, Nick Cave, Bat For Lashes, and many many more just to name a very bare few.
Yet when I saw the BBC3 "Best Bits" they were only showing stuff like Lady Gaga, Enter Shikari, Lily Allen, Dizzee Rascal etc and completely skipping most of the legendary acts.
Yeah I'm not saying you dont like them or that you're an idiot or anything, I'm just saying I think you have the complete wrong idea about what Glastonbury is all about. There is no such thing as Glasto or non-Glasto material, everything is included, there's something for everyone.
BBC please don't take this down. We are all license payers and your aim is to let us see this stuff. Since you are not showing it or making it easily accessible you could at least keep this up. You are not a profit making private company so there should be no problem with having he stuff up on a different site by a different non-profit making party.

I would have loved to go, I like Tom Jones and The Specials but my fave bands are Pendulum and The Prodigy! The atmosphere there looked amazing!
The worst thing is that the BBC have the rights to Glastonbury on the TV : (

Why, what would you say IS Glasto material then?

I'm not sure but I thought Fleet Foxes just seem too laid back and chilled for that amount of people but that is just my opinion.
