  • I love his strength in the "sadness" note of the chorus, especially contrasted to Blue Wind. His voice otherwise leaves a bit to be desired, but I'd love to see him live.

  • wow shes amazing but i love lauren pritchard

  • to me, this doesn't sound as desperate and disturbing as the recording in it. In the OBC, John Gallagher Jr. really conveys the desperation and pain.....I think this guy is alright, but honestly, nothing compared to JGJ

  • Aww, I think Eric Millegan is kinda good in an odd way at being Moritz. I mean, he's VERY different to John Gallagher Jr, but you know you loved him Bones!

  • I kinda like in the beginning where he just repeats, "Enough," over and over again, quietly, like he's just crushed under the weight of everything, but he's not screaming it like Moritz does in the show now... a different take I guess.

  • This vocalist may not be up to par, but he definitely does embody Moritz. He's an average singer, but, seriously, can you deny the passion be brought to the character?

  • wow. i did not expect ilse's singing voice to sound the way it does based on the way she speaks. haha her voice is amazing! but i'm not sure if i like it for ilse's character. though that might be because i'm so used to lauren pritchard's voice.

  • No, no, no. Whatever this is, it is horrible. These are not the accurate voices! Maybe it's just the audio, or something. It sounds like a low-budget sitcom.

    Who ARE these actors?

  • @ALovelyLullaby Not sure who is playing Ilse is but Eric Millegan (Zack from Bones) plays Moritz

  • @kmontana123 Well, Mr. Millegan should stick to acting. He's much better on tv.

  • @ALovelyLullaby You realise, of course, that this is a workshop? Only a few actors actually ended up going from these workshops to the actual Broadway production (Lea Michele was one). That's why it sounds different.

  • @HighKingTurgon Workshop or not, the vocalists are not up to par. I'm just glad that Mr. Millegan and Ms. Berger were not given the Broadway roles. Besides, there's a difference between sounding different and sounding awful.

  • @ALovelyLullaby and Ilse is played by Bridget Berger

  • I sort of like Moritz....

but Ilse sounds drunk. Or high.

    Or both. :)

  • @cutfootloose211 I actually like IIse Mortiz sounds corny! hahahhahaha And IIse is suppose to be a drunk.... right?

  • I feel like I really shouldn't be laughing at this scene. Lordy, when I actually saw Spring Awakening, I wasn't laughing. But this is really comical.

    ...

That's probably WHY it's a workshop. It's still beautiful in its own right.

  • LOL Moritz. is just.... yeah... not good

  • She plays Isle similarly to the way Steffi D does

  • Love the falsetto at the end though...

  • I really like the Ilse. Not so much for the Moritz. Nice voice, but not right for Moritz, imho.

  • Wow, Ilse is SO different from the Broadway musical play.

  • so glad they changed it ugh i hate this version

  • Who are playing Moritz and Ilse?

  • Eric Millegan as Moritz and Bridgeet Berger as Ilse.

  • Thank you!

  • i like ilse's screaming "moritz!" at the beginning. it made her seem more desperate. i wish they'd kept that.

  • I am glad this was changed. I didn't feel any attachment at all to Ilse or Moritz. And the build up to the song just wasn't there.

  • i just favorited it cuz ive been looking for it soo mcuh :(

  • WHY DID YOU FRIGHTEN ME!!!

This is the funniest fucking shit I have heard all week!!!

  • this is exactly why they have workshops you guys to find the real characters they are lookin for! Hence why it changed so much before it went to broadway!

  • ew.

  • WUT THE FUCK??? y wud he think that any of that was appropriate? even without knowing all that info we kno, it just doesnt work

  • LOL. He sucked in this.

  • GOD, this is soo bad. Thank god for work shops, if this came out on broadway it would have been booed.

  • That man is horrible. haha. Shit.

  • I love eric, and I agree he just doesnt have the "rock" voice to really pull Mortiz off. He has to much of a voice that belongs more in like R&H or Sondheim.

  • i think he would be better as seymour in little shop of horrors....lol he doesn't have the right voice moritz

  • who is the ilse??

  • who is this it sounds like eric millegan. Is it? because if it is i have heard him so much better

  • It is.

  • legit... what is thiss???

  • i love eric millegan, especially on bones, but he doesn't have the right voice for Moritz. Maybe Georg. His voice is very musical theatre. The Ilse is fabulous though :D

  • im sorry..but this is actually awful! i love SA but im shocked!

  • I, too, love the belted "sadnesses".

  • So prefer John Gallagher's version. Probably because John has a more raw rock voice and this guys has a musical theatre voice. Which is what makes John so unique when it comes to Broadway.

  • it sounds like a puppet from Avenue Q is singing it.....lol!

  • the girl playing ilse is actually REALLY good put i still LOVE lauren p. <3

  • I love Lauren too, but whoever's playing Ilse is amazing. I love the richness of her voice.

  • aww. he's not that bad. it's just a workshop.

  • wow...he has like no emotion...especially with his "enoughs" at the begining.

  • i think that it's just a different approach to the character. he sounds more hopeless rather than maniac.

  • who's singing moritz's part?

  • Although I absolutely adore JGJ, I really think this guy and blake really show how much of an outcast he was.

  • looove "sadness" belted!

  • mmm yeah it doesn't really float my boat.

then again i am completely biased

  • I dont like how he uses the character voice, but I do like the idea of "belting" sad-ness.

  • Who is singing Moritz???

    Not J.Galls...!?

  • Although I'm not keen about her voice or interpretation of the song (she was all over the place, no offense)....I LOVE how she acted/interpreted Ilse. She stayed very true to Wedekind's vision of Ilse and she seems like a really good actress.

  • Whoa her speaking voice and singing voice sound nothing alike! She does have a great voice though...

  • LOVE her voice! Who is this singing[Ilse's part]?
