  • I found it on ebay for about 50$. It seems that the company that makes it is the seller.

  • i want 1 but i must add a 10 kg C4 explosives to it

  • Why can't I purchase on the website? There is no price. This seems really unusual.

  • this is effective but you have to put a chain on the bike too so while the person is cutting your cord the bike moves and you have time to run!! hurry up buddy!!!!!!!!! your bike is getting stolen..

  • not very LOUD

  • you need one that goes inside the frame because i could cut that right off or unscrew it

  • can you tell us where can we by this alarm system?

  • Can I order one with a bomb attached to it?

  • where can I get that if I'm in Malaysia ?

  • The beeper needs to connect to the alarm. When you remove the beeper it automatically activates the alarm and stays activated until the beeper is returned to it's cradle (plugged into the alarm). Therefore no just switching off the alarm. Finally, instead of making it a rectangular shaped alarm, make it 'fit' the curve of the bar by 'barrel vaulting' the shape. All you need is GPS to locate the stolen bike and you've got an awesome system.

  • Very nice system, but I would prefer one with a 130-dB siren that will make any potential bike thieves wet their pants when they try to steal it.

  • let me get this right the alarm will go off telling me my bikes been stolen, i come out of work and see some guys riding of with it, i feel even worser that i couldnt stop them and also i ran out of work.

why not have it just keep playing a louder beep on the bike or even yet a tracker for the bike if it gets stolen, something to put INSIDE the frame so i can track and get it back :D

  • i want one like this but much louder and small enough to fit inside the seat tube under the seat where its not too visible and small gps tracking that has a button option to send atleast some sort of electric current through the bike so whoever has it has a real nice surprise

  • Please send your inquiry to sales@joybien.com

  • I think its a bit useless too. If someone breaks the alarm on the bike or is able to "switch it off", they will just ride away in seconds. The alarm doesn't seem to be to be loud at all. It wouldn't deter anyone. Also people in the vicinity of the thief, would be alarmed and look at what was going on at all. Dealextreme have better, louder and even remote alarms.

  • To me this looks totally useless, why would i need to know that someone is stealing my bike when it will be long gone before i can react?? maybe i a 500 meters away for example! A strong alarm signal will do much then this litte "beep"

  • where will i be able to get one of those in australia or on the net?

  • how far will it go

    like parking lot to mall?

5 steps away from parking lot?

HOW FAR and will it go through building

  • effective distance: outdoors (open field): 30 +/- 10 Meter; Indoors: 25 +/- 5 Meter

  • NICE!!!

  • @joybien2006 Great

  • @joybien2006 Great idea, but most bike thieves don't steal a bike to ride it across the street or just next door. The range sucks.

  • It seems that you have to activate both the bicycle module and the rider module in order for the system to operate. Why not just one-or-the-other? As it is, there is a 50% opportunity to miss activation.

Does the phrase "hand held" mean that the rider module does not have a belt clip or other attachment? "Hand held" means "soon lost".

It sends a signal if "destroyed", "switched off" or "moved" - what happens if one simply and carefully cuts the mounting band and removes the cycle module?

  • Both the Bicycle Module (we called it the Alarm) and Rider Module (we called it the Beeper) are turned on separately to converse battery life. If the user turned on the Beeper, but forgot to turn on the Alarm, then the Beeper will sound off to indicate that the Alarm is off (or out of reach), so to remind you to turn on the Alarm. Conversely, if the user kept the Alarm ON but kept with the Beeper OFF, then the Alarm (when in danger) will still sound off to alert the user on Bike side.

  • Not shown in this video, the Rider Module (the Beeper) has a built-in Strap Holder for you to attach a strap. Pouch with Belt-Clip will come as an accessory later.

The cutting or removal action of the mounting band will cause the Alarm to send alert signal to the user.

The basic concept of using the Bike Alarm is whenever your Beeper sounds off, you should check your Bikes status immediately to avoid theft.
