  • Thank you for bothering to match the music with the images! That's what makes this video soooo awesome! :)

  • this is flipping amazing! :O

Im a HUGE fan of Lord of the Rings and this is one of my favorite songs. You've encapsulated both elements perfectly into a seamless, beautiful music video. TREMENDOUS WORK! :D

  • well done :) a very well made video, to go with a VERY perfect song! compliments to your work sir :)

  • I like the way this all means nothing at all.

  • Yup, this is it - the most well-made Lord of the Rings fan video in history!

  • AWESOME !

  • wow this is beautiful! GREAT editing! Please make more! XOXO

  • Id like to see a Mummers Dance with clips from TANGLED!

  • That is a great video;) At 0:54 why did cry arwen?

  • @Haringi she cries because her father made her realize if she chose a mortal life with Aragorn, one day Aragorn would die, yet she would stay immortal (being an Elf), and the pain of Aragorn's death would be unbearable...and Arwen realized the truth in her father's words.

  • Awesome,simply awesome...Nice movie,Nice song...

  • I love the thought and editing that went into this..well done Arendil!!

  • Was Aragorn being crowned as king?

  • @JDWolfman12271 duh.

  • I want to comment on how great the editing is on this piece Nicely Done, you can really be proud of yourself, your timing is impeccable, your choices are perfect, the entire thing flows and moves just the way a great piece should, good on ya mate!

Keep up your great work, if you aren't in the biz you might consider it & put a reel together cuz yur good my friend, thanks for the journey thanks for the ride !

  • LOTR than book is the best but film is very bad

  • great job! the audio quality is horrible but it may just be my settings.

  • @carrieabay its your settings cause mines beautiful

  • very well done !!

  • Here's a Middle Earth question that I want to see if anyone knows the answer to. What is Lord Elrond's last name and how did he come by it? Also, here's a bit of trivia for anyone who might care. In the year that Bilbo found the ring in Gollum's cave, Arwen turned 2640 years old.

  • @Jimboticon well I don't know if he has an official surname as such but he's usually referred to as Elrond Half Elven

  • Comment removed

  • @Jimboticon Elves would usually take their fathers name a a last name, so Elrond Eärendilion 9son of Eärendil) Or Elrond Peredhel (Half-elf). I'm not entirely sure of either one.

  • @dragonmaire His name is Elrond Half-elven. The reason for the Half Elven part is because his Dad was a human and his Mom was an Elf princess. It's been a little while since I read the Silmarillion but if I remember correctly, his Dad was Beren and his Mom was Luthian. His brother was Eros who became the first King of the Numinorians. Eros chose to be a human while Elrond chose to be an elf. Elros's descendants all the way down his line ended up being Aragorn himself.

  • Holy cripes this is beautiful! I love the subtlties of things like showing characters when she sings about the trees. Very well done!

  • Oh beautifully done~! Bravo~!! XD

  • This is TOO Good. NICE.

  • Added to favorites, very well done!

  • the little subtle things you did in the video amaze me!!!so excellent!!!! amazes me everytime i see it :)

  • Thats very nice

  • охренительно!

  • Great!!!

  • Great!!!

  • perfect job!

  • I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!! AMAZING! Wonderful job. So very, VERY good.

  • WOW THIS IS AMAZING!!! GREAT JOB!!! :D

  • Take A Hammer

No one can tell the future but you

Dance around the fire in a deep deep trance

then swim the fast cold waters to the other side

Now march a hundred miles to save your life

    then your fortune will improve...

Take a hammer and break the chains

    M.S. Morrison

  • this is absolutely amazing.

  • What a GREAT combination - a terrific song by Loreena & some wonderful scenes from the greatest fantasy films ever made.

    Can't go wrong with that.

  • this is what happens when a nerd gets ahold of final cut. btw its completely unlinear, all you did was try to match up any clip you could to the lyrics. fail

  • Great job! It's a great feeling to see that someone else took the time to learn such an outstanding language. Now let's keep our fingers crossed for a Silmarillion Movie sometime in the near future.

  • @Jimboticon I know! I absolutely love that book!! It would make a great movie. I know, not a lot of people appreciate Lord of the Rings. I found an Elven handbook, it's their language, characteristics, hair, and clothing. It's amazing =D

  • I am really really impressed at the quality of this amazing video you made, omgoodness!!! matched the song really well. It would be so great if now that they're doing a "The Hobbit" movie they would have Loreena M. have a song on the soundtrack!!! :D

  • Very impressive! You should consider this line of work...

  • I thank you for this. Any time I watch this it raises my spirits. Your work is outstanding!!!

  • GOOD LORD!! I WORK FOR A PRODUCTION COMPANY AND THIS IS EXCELLENT>.YOU SHOULD EXPLORE THIS LINE OF WORK.. DAMN THAT WAS EXCELLENT>. BEST LOTR VIDEO ON YOUTUBE IN MY HUMBLE OPINION.. CHEERS

  • @teewhy1977 i agree this is really well done. fantastic editing and great pacing too. LOTR fans unite!!!

  • Absolutely beautiful!

  • i want to like this video so bad. it's got all the right clips, the right pacing, the right color tones, the right music. but you need to work on your transitions more. it's distracting for it to keep blinking black and fading. simply cut from clip to clip. Although i do like the flashing to sync it to the drums. otherwise well done.

  • Wow man excellent job I'm sure their is not one bad comment for this video great work

  • This video is so fantastic, one of the most memorable of all the fan videos I've seen. I pull this video up every once in a while to show people the wonderful editing job.

  • That actually gave me goosebumps.

  • This vid is brilliant.

I love both that song and the LOTR trilogy but never thought of them together. You used some of the best scenes of the movies, very professional video.

  • Excellent job!

  • sexy

  • Man, this is awesome! : ) Throughout the video, it has the feel of some sort of Fates or gods watching over the unfolding fate of Middle Earth. The song has such a steady intensity to it as well...it just was made for LOTR. Kudos to you, man, for putting together two things that totally belonged together : )

  • Where did you get that version of that song? I've looked everywhere!

  • Brilliant...Breathtaking...Captivating. Incredible piece of work. You are an artist!! Thank you for creating this.....

  • Very impressive remix...many kudos to your Arendil. I am a LOTR fan and you did it justice, and then some!

  • I don't like Lord of the Rings but this was amazing. : ]

  • Celebrian was her mother, Arwen's full name is Arwen Undómiel, and she was in the Grave Havens during the trilogies! =D

  • @ThePreston6 Excellent. I bet there's not many people who know that. Here's one last question. If you can get this, then you are defenitely Middle Earth learned. What does "Lle naa vanima" mean? Also, how about "Lle naa quel" , "Saesa omentien lle", and "Auta mequila orcu". If you can get those than you are awesome. (I'm fluent in Elvish, by the way.)

  • @Jimboticon "Lle naa vanima" is you are beautiful in English. "Lle naa quel" means you did well in English. "Saesa omentien lle" means pleasure meeting you in English. Finally, "Auta mequila orcu" means go kiss an orc in English! I love Lord of the Rings and am fluent too =D!

  • great job fits real good their.

  • Here's a little trivia question for anyone who thinks they really know Lord of the Rings trivia. Who was Arwen's Mother, what is her name and where is she during the Trilogy? Just a fun little question.

  • @Jimboticon Good question....Galadriel is her grandmother I think.

  • wow!!! Impressive :)

  • Awesome Job!

  • Excellent job. It actually makes the Lord of the Rings seem even better (and I never thought that would be possible.) Top notch!

  • BEAUTIFULLY DONE. THANK YOU

  • This remix is amazing!

  • BRAVO!! well done!!

  • Her voice and music seems very elvish. Quite fitting. :D

  • Very interesting...the song choice was amazing...i like how different parts of the whole series was used...its a very believable music video for the song...even though i do not know the true lyrics

  • I personally think many of Loreena's songs suit LOTR.

  • Excellent. Brilliant. Awesome.

  • This is a very beautiful video. You did very well on it.

  • Great Video and Song

  • Great song and great movie!

  • wow, very good job! I absolutely love this song and movie, they compliment eachother well. Thank you for uploading!

  • I was wondering how in the world this song would fit with the video... and even though in some ways it totally doesn't work... in some other way.... it totally DOES. I found myself getting shivers more than once. Well done! Somehow, it starts to fit once I let go of the original meaning of the song...

  • @Raemanzu

isnt it funny though, sometimes we can appreciate a thing(song, person, whatever) after letting go of all preconceived notions, and simply taking something as it is

    =D

  • beautiful... would make a gorgeous trailer for the movies...

  • Brilliant mix of one of my fav songs and films :)

  • I had the pleasure of seeing Loreen some years ago in California. A small theater of perhaps 400 people, lit by candelabras while she sang her amazing songs. It was magical and intimate.

  • Loreena McKennit >>> Enya when it comes to LOTR

  • great job, very well made! 11/10

  • Arwen.

  • Uh, wait a second here. Mummers Dance = Springtime Tree celebration. How does this coincide with Hobbits, Lord of the Rings, battles of war and such? You have a total conflict here. The gods might get angry.

It would be the equivalent of putting western rodeo video with Little Mermaids Under The Sea song.

  • @RacerXGTO hey thats not a bad idea...lol

  • @RacerXGTO lol now thats funny

  • @RacerXGTO

I don't see lord of the rings as a story about war and battles. I see it as story about freedom, friendship, humanity, hope, courage, caring, justice and solidarity :)

  • @WeronicaD YES i 100% agree.

  • @WeronicaD LOTR is a story of the eventual triumph of good over evil and the battles are the deciding factors that produce the end result. The story reflects all of the noble attributes you mentioned, and all of them allowed the Heroes to prevail in the end. Battle is a very human condition, weather it be fighting against tyranny or against our own vices, as Frodo did with his desire for the ring at Mount Doom. War and battles are part of what define us as a species. That's why we are dominant

  • @WeronicaD your gay

  • @WeronicaD I see Lord of the Rings as a feud for Good and evil, Love and Hope.

Sure, Legolas's and Gimli's bet was weird, but still, Legolas won.

  • @WeronicaD Or...

About an "All seeing eye" creating bastard mixed raced monsters to use to destroy every PURE thing in the world.

Hmmm sounds a lot like present day Earth.

  • Beautiful.

  • Incredible, loved it. Thanks you so much...

  • Brillaint music video! love the timing of the clips, and the clips fit very well too! thanks for piecing together!

  • Very well done! One of my son Channing's fave videos!

  • Loreena Mckennit is amazing, but this song is annoyingly popula, it's a realy basic song and tune, grrr, she just desurves more respect for her other amazing songs

  • Wow - fantastic!!!!

  • very well done

  • very good scene placment

  • Awesome! Loreena rocks!

  • Woooow! You really made an awesome video. Great!!!

  • Fantastic. Video is awesome. 5 star

  • Awesome job, absolutely love this video. Great song and great movie, thank you for putting this together, your work is really appreciated, trust me.

  • Top notch. Good synching with the beat, content to lyrics, I hope you use this on a reel to find a job in the field--I'd hire you if I had projects in the works. Not sure if you have other pieces, but this definitely shows that you an eye for the natural flow of The Edit. I hope you pursue it. Good luck.

  • @Breen31173 where can i hear that version u are speaking of??

  • It's off Her CD The Mummers Dance

  • Opps Check The The Cd Is Called

    Book Of Secrets

  • Very well put together. You are fortunate to have put together such a great combination of music and scenery. I Made a video a year ago of the 1971 "Vanishing Point" movie (coincidentally with Viggo Mortensen) in the remake in the 90s, set to an Audioslave song. Perfect music to fit the scenes and YT took it down...not surprised because Audioslave already made the vid...I just wanted to make a better one, lol. I envy your creation, incredibly well done, 5/5!!!

  • i am lord of the rings! but seriously this is a great video!

  • This video gives me such chills. Your work is brilliantly amazing.

  • Perfect!

  • very very good job

    Greetz: Nigelene -xXx-

  • Fantastic vid, as is your Aragorn/Arwen tribute. Song is available on iTunes, Mummer's Dance single, from Mummer's Dance Thru Ireland album.

  • Fantastic job!

  • Really fantastic editing. I've watched this multiple times. Very well done.

  • muito bom ! ta de parabens

tbm amo essa musica! e esse filme!

    perfeito

  • Arendil, you have a talent to become a great Film Composer 'cause I can't stop watching this.

  • Super-super!!!

  • very nice ;D

  • Ok. So how does a spring tree festival song go with LOR? That's like putting together corndogs with Jeep mud tires.

  • Maybe because it's not a spring tree festival song. The song is mystical in sound and Lord of the Rings is also mystical, thus they compliment each other well.

  • If you are not already a Hollywood Sound Editor, you should be because this is simply GORGEOUS.

  • Fantastic!! It's amazing how you fit the words and the picture together!

    Thankyou so much!!

  • Wonderfully well done! Thank you!

  • Which Mummer's dance version was that? It wasn't the one off Book of Secrets.

  • This is the radio edit.

  • i love this song

  • simply beautiful. :) I love both the song and Lord of the Rings. Thank you!

  • Well done. Thanks for your effort.

  • You bring out the pure escense of Tolkien's masterpiece. Great job on the flashes! Nice how you didn't end it with the grey havens or the fellowship reunited. That's how ALL the OTHER vids end.

  • Wonderful. Thank you very much :)

  • This video is so absolutely beautiful. Well composed intertwining of beautiful music and imagery.

  • Oh, man. That gave me goosebumps! Wow! Amazing!

  • Aw that is awesome!

I love the song and i love lord of the rings,

    well done! :D x

  • well done i applaud you

  • Siply amazing...well done! 5*

  • this is the coolest lotr- mummer's dance vid I've seen! Excellent!

  • awesome! love the song

i remember i had to dance to it during the medival festival at school
