I heard Chinaka do this back in 2001 at the National Youth Poetry Slam in Ann Arbor. It's a beautifully powerful, image-laden piece, but I'll never forget the way she spoke it at that slam. It was incredibly moving!
that was quality.. i get what u mean to, abt seeing bad stuff happen in ur neighbourhood and feeling like you can't do anything about it, but you want to... unless you meant something else, then i don't get what you mean

that girls name is Zora Howard. Woruld you believe she is only 17, so she was only like 12ish when she performed that.
