By the time you get to 1hr in this debate you realise Williams' reasons and reasoning is basically weak and childish. He clearly states Islam is "simple" to believe in because it does not contain more complex forms as in Christianity. Actually this spealls " don't confude me with scholarship and deeper thinking". Willaims constantly throws out Qureshi's scholars even if it happens to be a Quranic verse. Willaims @ 1:12 has lost this debate and made a complete "fool" of himself.
Also, up to and onwards from 0:40 we see a clear examples of how Wiiliams is reapeatedly asked to answer questions (put in order of speaker) and he totally neglects the point and wonders "off down the lane". Qureshi is seen to answer Willaims@ concerns but with constant interuptions. Qureshi consistantly remians close to both the Bible and Quran, but Willaims does not. I am always very annoyed when Muslims pick on one's knowledge of Arabic in order to silence one's criticism of Islam. If a necessary prerequisite for understanding Islam is knowing Arabic and no translation will ever do then most Muslims of the world cannot understand their own religion and it makes me wonder why Allah chose to communicate with people in a language and in a manner that the vast majority of them will never understand!? Beauty or ugliness of Quran is a SUBJECTIVE matter. In other words it is a matter of taste and I have heard many people who are either native Arabs or scholars of Arabic language who actually think Quran is pretty ugly and redundant and full of grammatical mistakes. The concept of Jesus being the paternal Son of God is irrational in my opinion. Christianity attempts to convince people to worship someone that walked the earth. Then, the only writings to back up the concept are the Pauline epistles, which are written by someone who never walked or talked with Jesus. Furthermore, Jesus has four Gospels attributed to him in which he tells people to worship God, honor the law, and he teaches parables about God. People want to worship him though . . .

Many of you guys are bashing Paul, but however he DID make a logical point that he backed up with proof, which was that Jesus never claimed to be God and nowhere in the Bible does it say it. If Jesus was really God then why wasnt it simply stated as so? Why do christians have to make their own conlusions off statements that might have several meanings? The best debate was the one between Dr. Zakir Naik and Dr. William Campbell. They are both well known and respected and their debate is much longer and more organized allowing them both to get their points fully out.
Yeah, but some people just can't stand the idea of conceding anything good about the opposing side of the argument. I as a Christian can name some good Muslim debaters right away but some Muslims and no doubt some Christians seem to insist that anyone who disagrees with them is just an idiot. Well, in a sense that tends to leave then in an even worse situation because then they have to ask "why are the people on my side having such a hard time when arguing with idiots?" :-)

Half way in I felt quite disgusted. "Intellectualism" is ok, then again it is not. It's quite repulsive and perverted at times. Reasoning and some fact finding is ok, but when you get into a "higher standard of intellect" it starts to dehumanize those opposing your view. All humans are intelligent enough to form good reasoning (unless they are severely disabled).

Im a muslim and I feel that Qureshi was a bit more orderly in the structure of his argument. Many of his points can be easily disproved by a learned scholar of comparitive religion. They begin to argue about how they do research instead of the research its self. This is bull from both, but Qureshi was better in approach.

Jesus is actually contrasting Himself to these leaders by way of quoting Psalm 82. read verse 2 onwards. Here the Old Test judges apponited were evil in their judgments, wrong in their discerments. Jesus is calleing His accusers' "false judges" Williams again displaying the low level of scholarship. Jesus claims to be God because He is God The Son. Do your research!

By the time you get to 1hr in this debate you realise Williams' reasons and reasoning is basically weak and childish. He clearly states Islam is "simple" to believe in because it does not contain more complex forms as in Christianity. Actually this spealls " don't confude me with scholarship and deeper thinking". Willaims constantly throws out Qureshi's scholars even if it happens to be a Quranic verse. Willaims @ 1:12 has lost this debate and made a complete "fool" of himself.

Also, up to and onwards from 0:40 we see a clear examples of how Wiiliams is reapeatedly asked to answer questions (put in order of speaker) and he totally neglects the point and wonders "off down the lane". Qureshi is seen to answer Willaims@ concerns but with constant interuptions. Qureshi consistantly remians close to both the Bible and Quran, but Willaims does not. Of course all this has its place but again Willaims' "wondering" shows an inconsistancy and weakness.

It's clear from listening to this debate that Mr Williams is unqualified to come up against Mr Qureshi. Qureshi sites several souces and quotes from not only the Quran, Haddith, but several other souces. Williams attempt to ask "show from Acts where it calls Jesus God" etc is a weak attempt to point out a "non point". ALL Biblical scholars know/teach titles were used repeatedly in Jewish writings that the reader understood as being Son of God, Equal to God etc.

@ershadganji : Well brother, we agree on that, Christianity is NOT about "do's and dont's", in fact, almost anything is permissible in Christianity, because the original message of Jesus (pbuh) was corrupted by Jewish-Roman Paul, who never met Jesus, but felt compelled to "interpret" his message. The New Testament seeks to make "Gentiles" feel ok about violating God's law, and about absolving wrongdoing by "grace". Allah (swt) judges each of us, you can't undo it by saying you are "saved".

@TheSaundersroadoxo: Really, Jesus is the one and only Lord? Mark 10:18, "Only God is good", in Matthew 6:9, he says to pray to God (Allah). Jesus makes it clear he is a MESSENGER of God, and that he does GOD's will (not his), and that, like the prophets before, he is part of the RIGHTEOUS path to God (which is of course, God's purpose in sending prophets). He never says "worship me" or "pray to me", or "I'm part of a triune..a trinity of three things, all one God". NEVER.

I am always very annoyed when Muslims pick on one's knowledge of Arabic in order to silence one's criticism of Islam. If a necessary prerequisite for understanding Islam is knowing Arabic and no translation will ever do then most Muslims of the world cannot understand their own religion and it makes me wonder why Allah chose to communicate with people in a language and in a manner that the vast majority of them will never understand!? Beauty or ugliness of Quran is a SUBJECTIVE matter. In other words it is a matter of taste and I have heard many people who are either native Arabs or scholars of Arabic language who actually think Quran is pretty ugly and redundant and full of grammatical mistakes. You for sure wouldn't accept their testimony.

If I bring a sura and in my opinion is the same or similar in quality and say "here it is I met the challenge" the Muslim would say "No,no,no! There are many beautiful and very uniques works of art in the word that are totally impossible to replicate. Has anyone composed a symphony like Beethoven or painted like Michelangelo? The concept of Jesus being the paternal Son of God is irrational in my opinion. Christianity attempts to convince people to worship someone that walked the earth. Then, the only writings to back up the concept are the Pauline epistles, which are written by someone who never walked or talked with Jesus. Furthermore, Jesus has four Gospels attributed to him in which he tells people to worship God, honor the law, and he teaches parables about God. People want to worship him though . . .

He doesn't know anything about oriental scholarship. The corruption of the quran due to copying failures is mainstream among scholars of the quran. The early muslim script was highly defective and there is lots of disagreement about the diacritical marks. Any scholar of the quran knows this.

Wow, i'am amazed at the ignorance at the reference given by Dr. Qureshi over the son of Uumar Khuttab (ra), where he quoted that reference. The contextual framework will give his answer, i'm amazed that he makes such remarks. I think these two although having some knowledge, they do not have in-depth knowledge, not really experts in the field. There needs to be a Shabir Ally v Dr. James White debate again, they're way more logical and more educated than Dr. Qureshi. Peace, Salaam.

Many of you guys are bashing Paul, but however he DID make a logical point that he backed up with proof, which was that Jesus never claimed to be God and nowhere in the Bible does it say it. If Jesus was really God then why wasnt it simply stated as so? Why do christians have to make their own conlusions off statements that might have several meanings? If Jesus WAS infact God, wouldnt God make it clear in the bible? If it was made CLEAR that J. was god, then why do other religions even exist?

God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world, so that through Him the world might be saved. Jesus prooved His deity when He defeated death, by dying and rising again. I as a Christian can name some good Muslim debaters right away but some Muslims and no doubt some Christians seem to insist that anyone who disagrees with them is just an idiot. Half way in I felt quite disgusted. "Intellectualism" is ok, then again it is not. It's quite repulsive and perverted at times. Reasoning and some fact finding is ok, but when you get into a "higher standard of intellect" it starts to dehumanize those opposing your view. All humans are intelligent enough to form good reasoning (unless they are severely disabled).

Im a muslim and I feel that Qureshi was a bit more orderly in the structure of his argument. Many of his points can be easily disproved by a learned scholar of comparitive religion. They begin to argue about how they do research instead of the research its self. This is bull from both, but Qureshi was better in approach.

but it has nothing to do with Paul Williams , he is respectable man and a good researcher and a book reader :) as we can see , i am proud to see a muslim like that..
but he can't refute the issue discussed by Qureshi, Mr Paul don't even know arabic !!! and i think he is a deceiver if this is a reason to leave islam then don't go christian !!!!!!!!!!!

The issue of the quraan should not be discussed except if u know arabic well , because the differences that ibn Masoud talked about is not even addressed here..the differences were letters (not words) and movement of letters(tashkeel)..
but he should address nabil ," Is that the reason u leave Islam , don't u know that the bible contains the most no. of contradictions and whole sentences are edited?".and the quraanic issue should not be addressed

Are you all crazy, what would Zeus say to all of this? Zeus is the real father of all gods and man, you can't worship any god below him unless you totaly surrender to Zeus. When Zeus finds out about all you none believers he'll send Poseidon and tsunami and drown everyone. Zeus is the only true God it says so in Greek mythology...all of you will pay dearly when Zeus sends lighting bolts on you none believers, your family and kids. i believe in a higher power and im not counting out any religion but i have a genuine question and if anyone can answer it for me it would be greatly appreciated. If there is a god/allah and if he/she is so holy and great, why would he/she allow all the confusion and killings over he/she? Also why would he/she confuse us with all sorts of different religions? If there is a god/allah why wouldnt he/she have made us so that we could just follow he/she without question?? Thx

But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make clear those who are truthful, and He will surely make clear the liars... And those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will surely erase their misdeeds and will surely reward them for the best of what they used to do" (29: 2-3,7).

So if believing in Jesus as a God is a tenant of entering Haven and saved from Hellfire... Do these include prophets that were mentioned in the Bible like Moses, Abraham, Jonah...etc who testify NOT to the modern Christianity tenants? So would go to Hell despite the Bible labeling them as prophets???? Ohh any rebuttal from a Christian should be substantiated by a quote from the bible, and not a decree from a Pope or the church...

This has a lot of great points proving the flaws in Islam. One of my favorite parts of this video is at 52:18. The muslim admits the Quran is corrupt and that he hasnt studied the religion. How do you trust your soul to a religion that admits its flawed even by the early leaders of that Religion?

He never mentioned & will never mention about his family details, names of parents and where are they now.
Having been shameful defeated in the hands of Ahamdiyya Muslims Community by their undeniable arguments from Bible, these losers have become so mean.
