The film is scheduled to be released in October 2012. Liam Neeson, Famke Janssen, and Maggie Grace have signed on to reprise their roles from the first film. Filming began in October 2011. According to IMDb, the sequel is set in Istanbul where Bryan Mills and his wife are taken hostage by the father of Marko Hoxha, whom Bryan killed in the first film
