  • Ahh crap. Forgot to tag you so that you could actually read my comment and respond rudely. Sorry. @leoleoleo7859

  • leoleoleo7859 Hello, so I was reading through the comments, and noticed that you, annoyingly, made a lot of them. It's pissing me off a bit, and I'm curious. Since you claim to not have any sort of vendetta against them, could you please give me at least three reasons why they are so bad? Please make them specific. "You masturbate" and "They are bad musicians" do not count as specific reasons.

  • @geniirena Sorry to be so slow responding; I didn't get either of your comments (only just seen them). I'm somewhat confused by your post; if you're so "annoyed" that I have commented several times, why invite me to comment again? Make your mind up!!! Whatever... IMO I've been clear in my posts over what I believe to be this group's considerable technical, political and artistic shortcomings, and I don't see why I should start repeating myself just in order to "piss you off" further.

  • 1:12 move it for me baby

  • they're hot but not as talented as they are pretty

  • at the end the guy looks like justin timberlake and the girl looks like taylor swift

  • the rest of group is the ok the male singer is just terrible

  • God, she's pretty.

  • not the worst version of the song ever, but it could of been better.

  • They sound like sheep! GOOD GIRLS GO BAAAAAA

  • Comment removed

  • @PhotographyGeek101 justin timberlake lol.......too easy

  • I liked this performance, and I'm surprised they didn't make at least the second round. I doubt they would make it to the later rounds, but seeing a mixed group with a major male lead would have been nice.

  • the lead guys' eyebrow at the end seriously made me lmao

  • Its weird how they were in the actual "College of Music" then they lost the first round :/

  • @imgame2121 I found it oddly funny, but maybe that's because this wasn't my favorite performance.

  • that lead female vocalist is sooo bomb

  • @Josh057

straight up sexy librarian hot schoolgirl mix..*fap fap*

  • Does anyone know the lead girl's name? She looks like Lynn Hilary, former member of Celtic Woman.

  • @RacistSister Jennifer Waris

  • They were phenomenal, but personally I think Mario would be a better lead. Just my two cents.

  • i love this group!!!

  • i think 1:32 was worse.

  • Check out this 50-person a cappella performance of Stairway to Heaven. It's beyond epic!

    /watch?v=ZLD52aNRZEQ

  • they are so amazing, this just isnt the right song to prove how AAWESOME they really are!!

  • @musicxmadexanna Hmm - I'm not convinced. Other apologisers have claimed that this performance didn't do PS justice, but (a) I have yet to see any evidence that the group's ensemble, tone, time and tuning are ever better than mediocre, and (b) they are all in training to be professional performers, for God's sake! If they are going to succeed, they will have to be versatile and skilful enough to make any old bullshit (like this appalling arrangement) sparkle; and clearly, at present, they can't.

  • That was like watching a terrible off broadway play, but the lead chick was fucking hotter than Georgia asphalt in July!

  • @BoSoxnation1972 do you really think Ms Waris needs her ego inflating any further?

  • @leoleoleo7859 I don't think that a chick that hot would have her ego effected one way or the other by someone commenting online. She has spent her life in the real world & I'm sure she knows that she's hot by now.

  • @BoSoxnation1972 Hmm, interesting... 'Sing-Off' is the real world?

  • is will makar in this performance? he was from american idol season 5, and was in pitch slapped.

  • i still can't believe that got booted off the first week

  • @internut101 jerry lawson and his crew were pushed through to the later rounds because main show sponsors, Fixadent and Metamucil, said they would pull their support otherwise

  • the note at 1:27 is just painful to listen to.

  • @LeninReturns its in pitch.. lol.

  • theres sooo many hot girls in this group damn... idk why they were eliminated first this was a solid performance

  • @allstars617 "Solid"??? Solid is the very last word I would expect anyone to have used to describe this shambles. Musically, it's about as solid as a wet Kleenex. And on the subject of wet Kleenex... 1) this kind of perving over the idiotic young women in the group is unattractive in and of itself; 2) please don't let your frustrated desire cloud your better judgment in future.

  • @leoleoleo7859 haha wow you probably have a horrible life and get no girls.. i was mainly addressing that the girls in the group are attractive. have you seen any of their other performances? they went to the semifinals of the ICCA last year, you sir, have no idea what solid is. i didnt say they were phenomenal, they are clearly solid

  • Comment removed

  • @allstars617 Thanks for your response. Yes, as I have noted before, I have endured several other PS Youtube videos. IMO they are average dire; if you want to know why, see comments below. ICCA? ICCA is famous for preferring pretty over good, much like you, it seems. You're right in asserting that I don't understand what 'solid' can be intended to signify in the context of a group who patently can't stay in time or tune - perhaps you could clarify this for me? Solid as in constipated, possibly???

  • @leoleoleo7859 solid as in good you dumbass. constipated? really? grow up.

  • @allstars617 Thanks for responding. I think we should agree to disagree, as you are outnumbered and I hate an unfair fight. In the red corner - Shawn Stockman, Nicole Scherzinger, Ben Folds, the producers of Sing Off (who, for the sake of the ratings, should have been even keener than the Hearing-Impaired Onanists of America to keep these vain and noisy trollops on board) and I, all agreeing that PS were comparatively shite. In the blue corner - you (and the other deaf masturbators, of course)..

  • Comment removed

  • @leoleoleo7859 I'm sure Terpischore will reward you with the ability to never hear bad music again. Good job.

I don't like them either but you seem to have a disturbing hatred for this group of students that has had one nationally televised performance.

  • @lufflyness There are other Pitch Slapped performances to be seen on Youtube (not that I'm suggesting you go looking!). Pitch Slapped may not be lot worse than the average terrible American college a capella group; the point is, these are Berklee students, who ought to be fantastic at this kind of thing and manifestly aren't. I question 1) their musical abilities, 2) their song choice and 3) their attitude. "Disturbing hatred?" No - I'm just holding my hand up for intelligent, real musicianship.

  • @leoleoleo7859 Trolllllllll is in the house. Wrong song these guys are talented they were just trying to be too pop. Berklee is pretty intelligent and the musicianship that goes on there is amazing. I would know I went there last year.

  • The girls in this group make me wanna learn to sing...

  • @VariousArtists2 the girls (and most of the boys) in this group make me wanna buy earplugs...

  • they really should have made it farther

  • @Otogi87 Why? So that half of TVLand could continue to get sweaty over Ms Waris and the Klutzes? Or so the other half could carry on laughing at the Incompetents in their freak show? Whichever - it would have been cruel to indulge these moronic attention whores of all genders by encouraging them to parade their inadequacies for any longer than this. Besides, if they'd stuck around, better musicians would have had to have been ousted to make room for them, and that would have been totally unjust.

  • @Otogi87 and by the way, I think you must have meant to type '"further" rather than "farther"; "further", as I'm sure you're aware, indicates progression (e.g. through time or indeed a competition), whereas "farther" can only be used in relation to physical distance travelled. Unless, of course, you meant "made it farther" in the sense of "got completely out of earshot", in which case I am totally with you!

  • @leoleoleo7859 Holy shit dude do you have a personal vendetta against someone in this group or something? Because you realize that you sound batshit insane going all crazy on these guys. Some people enjoyed them. Your opinion doesn't have its own religion buddy so stop acting like a god.

Like holy crap. I've never felt the need to tell someone to shut up on youtube before you, and that's saying something.

  • Comment removed

  • @VariousArtists2 Preach!

  • Did the producers tell you to be terrible musicians? If so, why did you agree?

  • Comment removed

  • @jacob13892 Thanks for your responses. The bottom line is - if these were physics or history students, I'd be applauding them for getting up and having a go. Yes, it's naff; musically, the tone is nasalised, hard and cold, the time and tuning aren't steady, there's no balance and it's very often off-pitch, but they're enjoying themselves and I'd much rather that youngsters dedicated their spare time to formation shouting like this than to playing with guns or developing crack habits. However...

  • that guy kinda looks like justin timberlake...

  • @latestbeautydotcom For future reference, the past participle of the verb 'to shine' is 'shone'. If you should especially want to use verb transitively ('shined', as in made to shine or glow), a table-top, a window pane or indeed the shoes of the other vocalists in Sing Off could have been 'shined'; and the latter task, on the evidence of this performance, would probably have suited PItch Slapped's levels of ability and awareness down to the ground.

  • @leoleoleo7859 While I agree with some of what you said, namely that they were presented to the audience as a very cocky group (an image which the lead male vocal did seem to vindicate), I think suggesting that there is no talent in this group is very far from the truth.

I fully accept I am not a professional singer so I may not notice slight issues with voice and range, however I think that as a group they probably earned another week on the show.

  • @leoleoleo7859 Let me clarify that before you argue, I am not saying that the performance was perfect (of course it wasn't), but I felt that it was certainly good enough for them to get through over some of the other groups.

  • @jacob13892 ...these are MUSIC students!! How can they be so careless in regard to breathing, ensemble, pitching, phrasing and (especially) to the need to support the tone? Can they all have tin ears? I should really be taking this up with Berklee, because IMO they're being let down by their trainers if they can't hear how awful this sounds. This was unquestionably the ropiest, silliest, most pretentious and musically awkward perfomance of the night; the judges made the only decision they could.

  • @leoleoleo7859 Your obsession with pointing out grammatical mistakes displays your own arrogance. While I also hoped to seem more given these were Berklee college students, but they were not as horrendous as you make them out to be. You insist on judging them by calling them "attention whores", etc. without even KNOWING them. Judge their singing yes, don't try to judge their character using an obviously edited introduction and without having met them.

  • Comment removed

  • @vicesofvirtues Thank you for your response. We will have to agree to disagree over the extent to which they were horrendous; they score 11 out of 10 on my horrendometer. I'm not judging their characters, I'm criticising their awareness as wannabe musicians and performers; they're an insult to skilful, disciplined, hardworking, talented student artists everywhere. But if this is the limit of their current capabilities, then they certainly won't make it into the profession, so we can all relax...

  • @leoleoleo7859 We can certainly disagree on ability. But saying 'they're an insult...' is taking it a little far, isn't it? They contain all these qualities, but just not do well in the a cappella realm (in your opinion).

Also, I would like to know why my comment is removed...?

  • @vicesofvirtues Nevermind, the double-post...

  • @vicesofvirtues No, I don't believe it is. Every individual sound made in this performance is ugly and (in singing terms) poorly-produced; the whole is musically inept and embarrassing. I don't see individual or ensemble skill beyond the ability to regurgitate a naff step sequence; there's not even basic discipline in time or tune; they show no evidence of having worked on their sound at all, and there is no sign of creative or interpretative musical talent on show. 'Qualities'? What qualities?

  • @leoleoleo7859 I don't know about this performance, but I don't think you can troll on Tee ICCA winners...these guys are international champs, and just because their sound is not mainstream or popular enough doesn't mean their sound is bad.

  • @noah9100 Thanks for your comment. "International champs"? I am amazed that the 2011 ICCA adjudicators (were they bribed? or drunk?) either did not notice or did not think it important that this group could neither keep time nor hold pitch. Don't believe me? Play along with their winning performance and you'll soon hear how far the pitch is drifting, especially in the middle number. Music students who can't cresc. without going sharp or dim. without flattening are champions of nothing.

  • Comment removed

  • @shortycatherine three main reasons: 1) they were weren't separately or collectively good enough performers, 2) this arrangement was inept and embarrassing, and 3) they were just cringe-makingly complacent. Watch their intro video - see them parading a really very modest level of instrumental skill and then boasting about how talented they are. They are as self-possessed as they are delusional. While the results may be bizarrely fascinating for one song, the joke wouldn't have sustained longer.

  • Comment removed

  • @MommaDawn I neither need nor want to know you as people, that's for sure. I've watched as many of PS's other Youtube videos as I could stand, and (allowing for variable recording technology) IMO as a professional singer, you separately and collectively have long and discovery-filled journeys to make before you will earn the right to call yourselves musicians. I'm basing my judgment that PS are both pompous and s**t on the available video evidence. You were naive? Gosh - I'd never have guessed..

  • Comment removed

  • @MommaDawn I teach and train lots of talented and committed young people as part of what I do, and am continually delighted by what your peers can achieve. It's part of my remit to work to professional standards. For your age-range, and especially given your status as Berklee students, on your current form IMO you're not good enough. I'm confident that you'll find that out for yourselves in due course. You want constructive comments? OK - 1) don't give up the day job, and 2) drop the arrogance.

  • Comment removed

  • @MommaDawn Hey Momma dawn. Im a huge music FAN (not musician), and I LOVED your performance. When the judges voted you off the show, I literally shut it off and quit watching... not just that episode, but for the rest of the season... I dont know whats up leo leo's tush... no one was perfect on the show, but you guys still shined.

  • i dont know why they went home :/

  • @xlmeay thanks for your detailed response. I get a different message from the lyric ("you're dangerous..I'd be stupid to trust.. so wrong" etc) plus it's the cliched, sexist visual imagery I object to. I don't agree that all the groups showed similar musical shortcomings; IMO no other group sang in the wrong key for their soloists, and no other group was this out of tune. OTR belted the whole way through, it's true, but at least they forced the tone on pitch. We will have to agree to disagree.

  • Lead guy's trying too hard. Of course, this comment requires the token "lead girl, freaking hot". With reference to their other videos, I believe Mario, the big guy, would've done a much better job.

  • SIgnature song? Sorry, but this is a HORRIBLE arrangement, awkwardly pitched for everyone by the sound of it. For music academy students, the quality of the performance on show is disappointing, to say the least; forced tone, poor breath support, dodgy intonation, no blend, naff vocal effects... More importantly, why did these students choose a 'signature' song apparently celebrating a man's ability to coerce young women into having sex? You say irony, I say cliche-ridden male rape fantasy...

  • @leoleoleo7859 Believe it or not, this is considered a signature song for them. It was the opener for their set at the ICAA, and they got 2nd with it. The composition of the song is fine, but the problem was they tried to make it fit this small group, when the original group had like 1.5x as many. I have no clue why they decided to make the group smaller though, it isn't like there were constraints on this. OtR had an entire army of people.

  • @leoleoleo7859 And stop being so dramatic. This song is definitely not a song about being about to coerce women into having sex, or raping them.

It is about so charming and irresistible that girls change their minds around you. How is that rape, or coercion? Is James Bond suppose to be a rapist now as well, just because he seduces all the women?

  • @leoleoleo7859 Finally, welcome to singing live, and in front of millions of people. For those of us that have never done it before, it can shake you up a bit. In case you didn't notice, ALL of the groups had issues with the things you noted.

e.g. Committed consistently sounded like garbage anytime someone held a note in falsetto for longer than a beat. Guess what? You move past it.

  • @leoleoleo7859 Hater. Maybe you should upload some of your singing and see what response you get? Or put all that hatred energy off the keyboard and make a song or something for christ sakes.

  • Face it. These guys got fucked. I'm pretty sure there was something political happening when they got booted. Something didn't seem right with some of the groups continuing after them. All looks aside, they had some shit none of the other groups carried.

  • The blonde freaks me out

  • I kind of think it was their arrogance that did it. They were obviously better than most of the other groups, even with the lead's pitchy bit at 0:40 and the speed up at 0:57. If they weren't so darn cocky, I think they may have gone farther.

  • the lead guy looks so much like Justin Timberlake

  • NBC made a mistake letting this group go so early. There was some serious eye candy in this group and they would've increased the ratings. And yes, I'm talking about the lead girl!

  • Pause it at 1:03!

  • I think they were trying to make America vote for them because their leads were sexy as all get out...both of them... But they definitely needed to be stronger.

  • the blonde looks like julia from nip/tuck :D and the male vocal.. he have screwed them all

  • @Shevaldinho123

It was screwing with and mom the whole time, cause the girl (Kelly?) from Backbeats looks so much like her! And so does the lead in Eleventh Hour, if she had her hair the same way.

  • i think their leads werent as strong as they should have been, they were great but the leads needed to be better

  • I can't believe they got eliminated in the first round...

  • girl was fiineee, the dude looked like justin timberlake with the rock's eyebrows dipped in a giant vat of douche

  • 1) The choreo was done by the show 2) Fingers on the lips is to make a sound effect ..have you seen & heard the original? 3) It's a TV show. They were told to overact. PS the song's about a cocky guy making a good girl go bad! They're acting out that in the song! Why are some people such haters? They didn't say they were the #1 music school in the world either- they said it was like the Ivy League of Music Schools! Wish you could hear the Q's asked that drove the answers! It's all about editing!

  • Lots of Hot Ass in this group but come on let's be real: They were just off. Off pitch, out of sync, choreography could have been MUCH better for "the #1 school of music." They choked during crunch time, bottom line. However, I'd love to rail out a few of those chicks, especially that dirty little lead. She looks like a freak!

  • Ughh They are soooooooooo arragant!!!!

  • that performance was HOT....even if they did get kicked off first!

  • the blonde chick and the chick with glasses that turned hot were both bomb!!!!

  • these guys so should have gone on!

  • I can't believe Berklee got voted off... This was a good performance...honestly, that Eleventh Hour group should've gone... They only made it because they're the only High School group.

  • I'd like to have seen at least one more performance from this group. In my mind, I don't think they were as bad as some people are making them out to be. I will say that the fingers on the lips move at 0:15 (and later) helped cancel out some of the sex appeal that the two leads were building up. To me, it made the them look ridiculous.

  • worst lead singer ever

  • the lead guy was out of tune alot and the arrangement was kind of messy.

  • dude @shortboy i totally agree!

  • they shouldn't of gotten voted off first :P

  • the lead girl looks kinda like the brunette version of talyor swift

  • the guy looks like justin timberlake

  • they were good, but not that compelling.

From the original version the husky guy did it, they shoud keep that way

  • anyone else thinking the lead guy looks like Justin Timberlake?

  • She is so damn sexy

  • I don't get the part at 0:12 why do they do that?

  • @rasberryjonas for the sound effect.

  • Did anyone else see her glasses just disappear after she threw them down?

Also, I have to say I love how every time I watch one of Pitch Slapped's videos the top comment is "That girl is so hot" or some variation thereupon xD

  • @ElJefe625 they fell off the stage

  • I kinda like this better than the original

  • the dude tht looks like Jt in the beginning is SO FREAKIN HOTT

  • yeah... the lead guy wasn't that good...

still i wish they stayed on :[

the lead girl is FREAKING HOTTT

  • that was so awsome too bad they were kicked off

  • lol the lead singer was so bad, it seems like they were a good group but he was horrible and what's with all the fist pumping and fake sexual persona. Everything just looked so awkward it almost felt like a paraody of a Britney Spears video or something.

  • i'd just like to say that both lead singers are hot as hell.

    can i get an amen?

    amen.

  • the last 7 or 8 seconds could have been better but this was one of my favs that night!

plus, you really can't beat their name...hahaha

  • the girls are so pretty

    i liked this

  • The lead singer guy is the personification of college date rape.

  • I thought they were amazing. I was not fond of the judges that night

  • I honestly liked this and I'm not too big on grove for thought. I wish they would have got voted off instead.

  • i swear he looks just like justin!!

  • these guys were really good, they could have beaten the backbeats if they had a good day and the backbeats had a bad day, really tragic that they picked wrong song

  • guys really! so what if they bragged?! every other group did! and we are all humans and bragging is what we do, i know i have bragged MANY times but then got my ass kicked in something. well this happened to them and yeah i know it must suck. well they are a talented group and i know they will go far, just because the sing off didn't work for them doesnt mean they won't get other oppurtunities to shine. pitch slapped i think you are one of the best a capella groups out there! and im ur #1 fan!

  • the dude who first starts looks like justin timberlake...:)

  • @124girly123 and hes hott!

  • @124girly123 better looking even

  • Why can't the ppl vote every episode instead of the judges? Shouldn't it be up to us to vote? Don't they wanna make more money from us? haha

  • i still think they went home way too early

  • I lost it at 0:48. Incredible.

  • Jen, you'll go far with talent like that. Hope to see you in the future hittin' the big time!

  • Female lead singer is incredibly smokin hot gorgeous.

  • the male lead is gorgeous and so talented!!

  • It shows how poor the judges on the show were: They made it all the way to second in the international collegiate competition, and they didnt even make the top 8 on the show.... What a horrid decision to eliminate them.

  • @latestbeautydotcom because they switched the male lead vocalist with that cocky guy!

  • I seriously stopped watching the show after they were eliminated. I was like, if this is the way the show is going to go--keeping MUCH weaker acts in place of better ones--I have no reason to continue watching. Those judges messed up big.

  • They were my favorite. :/

  • The girl is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen...goodness...I hate that they got voted off Stupid Eleventh Hour should have got voted off...

  • that girl is so hoooot

  • @cucharon20 funny thing is we all know which girl you're talking about, @1:36 she looks absolutely stunning

  • @cucharon20 which one?

  • The judges were off on their critiques. There was no good reason for them to be sent off in the very first show when there were weaker entries, such as Eleventh Hour or Lawson (A legend, but his group can't keep up with the kids).

  • UGH. it sucks they got eliminated! i love them!<3

sighh. this group made me dance. now this just sucks. D:

good girls go bad now... /: that's me! </3

  • it's a shame we won't get to see that Good Girl Gone Bad anymore.... freakin' gorgeous.

  • i liked these guys alot sad they left T_T

  • they were great but it made me laugh so hard that "berklee number one music school in the woooorrlldd!" got voted off first haha.
