  • oeee i love your bed realy nice

  • how do you attach the flower to the hat? i dont know how, i just starrted crocheting. thanks

  • @SunshineBrownEyes123 I use a yarn needle (and I mean needle not hook) and the same color yarn to just sew it on. There really is no right or wrong way.

  • @BeautyFromTrashes Thanks a bunch :D

  • your nice!

  • only question. i'm pretty much a noob at this even though my great grandma introduced me to it. is it possible to make a hat with just single crochet instead of using half double or double crochet or others? thanks.

  • @TheWolfgirl46 It is possible but the hat would turn out too short. To fix that you need to add more rows. I'm not possitive how many. Probably 4 or 5 more.

  • @BeautyFromTrashes Thanks

  • I made this hat and I just started crocheting this week! Great tutorial, mine kind of turned into a slouchy beanie, not sure if that's what its supposed to look like but I love it anyway. Thanks for your help :)

  • @JonathanDavis45 Slouchy is good =) But no it is not supposed to be that way. You are probably crocheting very loose. It is common when you first beginning, but over time you will tighten up. Great job on your first week!

  • yay i made another hat this time for myself

  • I made a hat woohoo

  • @1gemini Nice

  • what if i want to make baby size . should i make less rows?

  • @1gemini You would chain less at the beginningand maybe do two or three less rows.

  • i don't even know that the hell is a half double crochet and decrease

  • @1welcometosouthpark1 The first thing you want to do is cut off the color you are using, with maybe 3 inches of extra yarn. Then take your next color of yarn and pull a loop through the loop of the other color on your hook (don't pull all the way through, just make a regular loop). Pull the old color tight (you should only have the new color on your hook now), tie the extra strings in a knot, and crochet as normal.

  • after i complete a row of the half double crochets, and i do a slip stitch, do i also chain1? or do i do a half double immediately after the slip stitch?

  • @famora4 You can if you want. It doesn't hurt. Most of the time when you do a stitch bigger then a single, you chain one on every new row.

  • Thank you sweetheart for your video. This great-grandmother has made three hats so far for the grandchildren. I had searched you tube looking for an easy pattern for a hat and I think yours is the best. I like it because you start at the band of the hat and not the crown. Thanks again

  • @word1902 The prompts go before the next step, not after. The first 4 are half double crochets, the second 4 are double crochets.

  • thank you so much. really easy!!

  • I LOVE your room! I love purple and owls!

  • THANX!

  • your video on how to make a hat has been the easiest ive found so far! great job thanks!

  • I made my first hat also, thanks to your video. I only have 1 suggestion: the video was really dark. Please shine a light on your work, other than that, it was great! I have attempted other hats with no success, but this was pretty easy!

  • @PIBBYKLEE

I also added a few more rows to go just over the ear. I also added a pom pom. VERY CUTE!

  • Successful :) I made my first hat, and have had many requests since. A tip though, the camera angle is a bit off and doesn't show some of the stitches. If I didn't already know what they were, I would've gotten stuck because I couldn't follow. But for me, hearing you say it was enough, thanks!

  • So you are placing a safety pin at where you started the next row of stitches, and also not to confuse where you should be starting your next row....am I understanding that right....also I have seen some videos where people will thread a different color "yarn to mark"off so to speak am I understanding this is the reasoning behind it?

  • @chinewmarie Yes, you use the safety pin so you know where the beginning of the next row is. Place the safety pin in the first stitch of each row you do. When you go around the hat and reach the safety pin again, remember that the safety pin is not the last stitch in that row but the first stitch in the next.

  • Wow I luv it...thanx ur a genius

  • did it! thanks for your help

  • I made my first hat thanks to your video! Thank You

  • @tulipsun21 Youre very welcome. I am happy to help

  • Thank you for this video!! I just started crocheting and have been trying to make a hat using other videos. This is the best one I have come across!!!

  • @MsKlatshaw Youre welcome. I am glad I could help.

  • @BeautyFromTrashes

I made myself a hat and now I am making one for my daughter. This is fun!!!

  • what is a half crochet?????????

  • @caseyashly In a half double crochet you yarn over your hook, Insert hook in the next stitch, yarn over and pull through just the first stitch, last yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on your hook.

  • thank you for sharing the hat pattern!! I love it! I am going to do and make one now. Thank you again!

  • Thank you very much. I am going to try and put more advanced beanies out in the future but l will break it down the same way.

  • Thank you for the video. I found it simple and fun to do. I been looking for simple beanie/hat video and this one i like and would tell someone about if they wanted to learn it also.
