I think that Bene. XVI wants to phase out some of the more odious experiments since Vat. II & slowly reintroduce more tradition approaches to to worship. He, in fact, has said as much re: the liturgy. He has been published saying that priests should turn "ad orientum" during worship & Latin should be restored.
