I really like what Marius Kwiecien has done to develop his voice. He was in a Michigan Opera production of Boheme in 2000 (With Kyle Ketelsen who has become a superb Leporello as well) and didn't seem like anything special then. He's doing REALLY nice work now. And Ognovenko makes one hell of a Commendatore!!! :-O
I sincerely regret I was unable to attend any of the performances. The interpretation looks excellent (although I would have done more with Giovanni's choreography in the final scene...he looks like he's got some sort of physical retardation...)
I wish they would have used a better camera to record this. The video did not capture Kwiecien's voice well at all. He usually sounds full with lots of spin. Oh well, all that matters is he is wonderful live!

I love Kwiecień!! He has a totally unusual voice - it's so strong, soft and clear...I'm going to see him in April as Don Giovanni! =D
