At first I bought Crunch Box because it's red beauty with small size.

Then I like its sound - Marshall character that's not too much aggressive tone for me.

But for this song I used it as a gain booster for my AC Booster.(solo only)

You can see my setting at the end of this vid that I put crunch box before AC booster and turn its tone&gain knob at almost zero posiition.

Jeff Beck is my all time No. 1 favorite guitarist as well :)

Wish I could play this song as good as you. I've only ever bothered to attempt a few of my favorite licks from it (the lick(s) between 3:54 and 4:04). It's a masterpiece of guitar work that few other compositions reach, and you did a wonderful cover. Props for not using a plectrum. It's the only way to get the proper feel you need for this song.

The only thing that might need work is the lick(s) from 3:54 to 4:04. Again, great vid.

I think Beck used a pick when he recorded the original version of this song in "Blow by Blow" album cause he quitted using it in 80's era.

But I prefer his playing & sound after that - the sound from his thumb is one important thing that has made him unique.

A few years ago I decided to quit using my pick too, just wanted to have 1/100 of his ability.

I used crunch box just for boost my Xotic AC Booster (Gtr => Crunch box => AC Booster)

for solo only

The setting for each knob was :

Level ~ 11:30

Tone ~ 9:00

Gain ~ 9:00
