Whatever compulsion that led me to watch this (because I wanted to like it), I can only assume I must have been coming down with something. For the most part it really was banal and contrived. The script nor the direction barely developed any kind of sincerity, and the part at the end where he travels the world to 'grow and become a man' - we are treated with a montage of scenes that could be lifted straight out of a gift Aid commercial...

Definetly a uinique movie. However, I think I just might wait for the DVD release. Also, which movie does the main guy act in? I swear I've seen him before in some other movie. *arg* It's so frustrating. And the movie was certainly a fairly famous or popular one too. *sighs* What is the world coming to these days?
