I know im a little late but i feel that you guys need to stop this. I know that each sorority is supposed to have its own identity, stance, etc. You guys are forgetting that DST and AKA have been around for a long time. Of course a few details and lines will be blurred. I am strongly considering pledging, &as someone who doesnt know much about DST, you guys are not conveying the right image of what DST really is about. Regardless of what sorority you are, you should have respect for each other.

AKA as most BGLO's didnt have hand gestures when they were founded. These are things that came later on with newer generations of the organizations. Sigma Gamma Rho first held up the pinky as their sign, then AKA held up the pinky as their sign. SGRHO held up the pinky first, Not saying that SGRHO was the first black sorority.

Do worry the SGRhos had a blast with the pictures posted on facebook of DELTA'S at a Retreat Dressed in BLUE AND YELLOW. no, they are doing right actually. please do some research before you try to call others out. it's called a duck stance in reference to a phase in the process of becoming a delta. very different and with more meaning than what the aka's do.
I must admit, the first thing I caught was the IVIES. DST should just stop with the "duck hands" all together. It's clear that some Delta wanted to be an AKA, or should I say, liked the idea of the ivy and tried to incorporate it into DST.

ok but honey look im not trying to be a perps honey, plus to me it doesn't matter how u spell it as long as it comes out matching the sound it shud be fine because a real Delta will identify it rather being spelled worng or not.

Hate to say it. Cause I like Delta's any day AKA. But they do look like AKA's in this video in red. Who ever was in charge should have known better. Cause then you get AKA thinking Delta's want to be like them. Hint AKA's most Delta's want to be the opposite of AKA's. Thats why they pledged Delta.

No quite frankly sweetheart your facts are jaded because in fact in 1978 the members if sigma gamma rho sorority incorporated held their pinky horizontally as their sign as you as a member of a " HBGLO" should know that hand gestures are a new phenomenon according to old heads people didn't really hold up pyramids or pinkies to signify their membership to a certain group.

Clearly, you dont read correctly and your vision is blurred. If you read my comment correctly then you would have understood what I said and not twisted anything. AKA as most BGLO's didnt have hand gestures when they were founded. These are things that came later on with newer generations of the organizations. Sigma Gamma Rho first held up the pinky as their sign, then AKA held up the pinky as their sign. SGRHO held up the pinky first, Not saying that SGRHO was the first black sorority.

Or maybe the video has become a buzz because people are laughing at how Delta's are all over the place with everyone elses stuff. Do worry the SGRhos had a blast with the pictures posted on facebook of DELTA'S at a Retreat Dressed in BLUE AND YELLOW. And you can rest a sure the pictures of the Alabama Delta's that probate in Pink are still used as an example today.

no, they are doing right actually. please do some research before you try to call others out. it's called a duck stance in reference to a phase in the process of becoming a delta. very different and with more meaning than what the aka's do.

I must admit, the first thing I caught was the IVIES. DST should just stop with the "duck hands" all together. It's clear that some Delta wanted to be an AKA, or should I say, liked the idea of the ivy and tried to incorporate it into DST.
Just stop. You all did a wonderful job, but the Ivies was a major distraction. I admire the fact that there's always something new and authentic coming from you ladies. Of lately I've been seing the ivies, hair shaking and the prepping. It's not DST...

AKA's might do it all the time but it's not constitutional, it doesn't belong to them. atleast 10 chapters of all the sororities of the nphc have done this look before at probates. and the duck stance is not a distraction it's a part of their history.
