so, during the shower scene (in the third act, just before the climax), are we (the audience) supposed to snap out of the world of the film & think about jill schoelen as an 18+, or >21 year-old actor appearing nude?

or are we supposed to remain within the diegesis of the film & believe that we are watching the 16 year-old character of "stephanie maine"?

either way, it's kind of a creepy decision for director joseph ruben to have made -- isn't it?

This film is an underrated CLASSIC! Terry O'Quinn RULES in this film.

I miss films like this. I'm dam glad I grew up in the 80's and got to experience these first hand.

I always wondered if Jerry's sweatshirt @ 31:30 was supposed to mirror that of Freddy Krueger's in "Nightmare on Elm St" (1984) because it looks very similar

I dont know if I would call it under rated as they made 2 sequels and an awful remake. The first sequel was already out 2 years after this film. It was more of a so called "sleeper hit" and also won horror film of the year award if memory serves. And for the Freddy Kruger sweatshirt, I missed that before you pointed it out, maybe, maybe not intentional.

And yeah man, the remake sucked huge, as most do.
