  • Holy shit, that was unnerving.

  • 04:39 This must have inspired the opening credits of Coraline.

  • That was one of the most fucked up things I've ever seen. This film was so experimental it makes Meshes in the Afternoon seem like Twilight.

  • I literally cry with this....

  • Does anyone know the song starting at 5:15?

  • this was a trip I got a weird Tool vibe from it!

  • @Dansilverbabe Good, because Tool is widely considered to have completely ripped these guys off for their general imagery.

  • I saw this years ago on Alive From Off Center . I taped it and watched it for years until I looked for it here. This is my favorite film ever. The cinematography, music, and mood are great . I wish my dreams were like this!

  • i'm in love

  • Wonderful!

Anyone have idea about what Fonts of writings are that? The both that appear in the end of film. Thanks

  • I'm not sure what I just watched, but it was indeed mesmerizing like a deer caught in headlights.

  • When I was a child, I had dreams of the japanese geisha doll in my mom's bedroom coming to life and tormenting me. These films are so beautiful, it's amazing I was ever afraid of dolls that looks strange.

  • I first saw this on Bravo in 1987. I have to say this has always been one of my favorite foregin films. What struck me when I was 7 was the dolls and the music. Now that I'm older, I can start to make the attempt to better understand the social commentary that this film conveys. Even now I'm still at a loss and don't fully understand it, but I still love this film.

  • Beautiful music!

  • What is this actually about?

  • This was, as you probably all know, a major influence on the Nine Inch Nails video for Closer...

  • from the subtitles in the end it seems that they are talking about something about the problems of modern city.. in such a way.. amazing.

  • It's weird like, not a nightmare where your afraid. More like a nightmare where you feel very disoriented and are wandering around, and wondering where you are. Then you're freaking out because you feel like you can't wake up and you think you'll be stuck there forever.

  • I love this frightening dream. It's fantastic.

  • Masterpiece.

  • Now I know from what Adam Jones took his inspirations

  • reminds me of my dreams when i was younger. Scary but wonderful!

  • I thought this was really scary when we watched it in art class.

But now I see it and I <3 it!

  • This is my favorite film, They really knew how to bring Bruno Schulz story alive. The Quays made want to get into film. I really love the comb as well as the his name is alive videos they did!

  • so nice o.o I'm atonit

  • the music by Lech Jankowski who made soundtrack for Instytute Benjamenta - also brilliant...

  • @matmos123 know where I can get it?

  • That was the best nightmare I've viewed while awake! Amazing mood and music. The lighting was superb! Bravo
