We Pentecostals surely DO think there's a VERY real Hell & we'll see the lot of you in it, while we're be seeing & sitting w/ God & Jesus. And not ALL Pentecostals believe that you "can't loose your salvation" but I think I cannot. Why? Because if I had to KEEP it thru good works, that by that action, I am holding it/keeping it/achieving it BY MY ACTIONS! It is ONLY thru God's Grace that I am saved & He is not willing that ANY person remain unsaved. Your own verses prove every word I'm saying!

am a Pentecostal .I Got saved when i was 21 years old in a Church in Auckland NewZealand . Because i got a touch from a real God who change my life . I no longer drink smoke fight or go out to party's . I believe once saved all way saved as the bible say that no man can move you from our father hand including your self .Hope to see you one day a far off when I'm in Pentecostal heaven .and your in Baptist heaven .I hear they play a once a year rugby game against each other . Hasty generalization. And Arminians believe you can lose your salvation yet still believe that justification comes by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
I am neither a pentecostal, nor an Arminian, but this guy should do some more in depth study of pentecostals. Additionally, not all pentecostals believe you can lose your salvation. Some pentecostals remain calvinists.

You can only "lose your salvation" if you were never really saved. If God calls you, He does so effectively and without faliure.
This guys attitude is what bothers me. Hes mocking this guy and calling him lost. What kind of person would say "ive never met a pentecostal that is saved"? A Baptist apparently. They remind me of the gnostics who believe salvation is attained by knowledge. They supposedly have "the truth " and go back as far as John the Baptist but they are actually blind to what the bible says.
There are some very arrogant religious people in this country and I used to be one of them. Looks like Jesus' Apostles weren't saved because they spoke in tongues and preached it was the only initially sign of receiving the Holy Ghost. (Acts 10;44, Acts Chapter 2, Acts 11:16) Seeing things like this are saddening when people believe tradition over scripture.

There are so many different groups of Pentecostals, and they all believe something different, along with some similarities.Some are way out there.
But I certainly have seen professed Pentecostals that believe basically the same as Biblical Christians, {fundamentalists if you will} The trinity,salvation by Grace thru Faith in Christ and his finished work at the cross,burial, resurrection on the 3rd day and this alone + nothing. Saved is saved period. Fundamentalist Pentecostals I guess.
I went to a pentecostal church with a friend of mine. I discerned alot of homosexuality and a judgmental spirit on those that were younger and didnt speak in tounges. It seemed like a contest on whom was the loudest. I now attend a seeker sensitive style christian church with contemporary rock style music and i love it. Pentecostals are a cult that need to repent.
@remusnigga maybe you should have tried a different pentecostal church...i am sorry your experience was so terrible, but please don't put us all in that "cult" as you put it. We don't force anything on anybody--at least not in my church. Yeah, sometimes we get excited and loud, but it's not for show or any contest. And we are not judgmental...I don't expect everyone to speak in tongues. It's something you have to want and ask for yourself. Not sure about that comment about homosexuality...

The gift of tongues served their God-ordained purpose and ceased to exist in the days of the Apostles. We have the written word in our hands, God The Holy spirit indwells every born again believer. I have plenty to back up the fact that people can be baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in other tongues, and I have yet to see anything that tells me that God won't do that today.

@AJBluesman What you call greed I call wanting to have the power to battle against the powers of darkness...and I didn't say that you had to speak in tongues to be full of the holy spirit, although that is what the Assemblies of God believe. I just know that when I was baptized in the holy spirit, it was very different from when I accepted Jesus into my heart and was forgiven of my sins. I receive a greater understanding of the bible and more boldness to witness than I had before.

Verse 11 says - When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. :) Speaking in tongues served a definite purpose back then...friend it was 2000 + yrs ago.

@songbirdsigley1027 I believe tongues has a purpose as well, it is another way of prayer betwwen the believer and God. It can be done in public under the guidelines that Paul sets forth in 1Cor 14. It must be done with an interpreter so as to edify the congregation or public in a meeting. I believe it should have a valid and important message from God if it is done in punlic. Never to be just for show.That's the reason why people who read the Bible believe that Pentecostals FAKE TONGUES.

What a shame that all the people listening to this guy actually believe what he is saying...I grew up in the Pentecostal church. I am filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. And I am saved. I also know that salvation has nothing to do with works. I'm not sure where he gets these notions...I hope that those who heard this message have since heard and received the truth.

@RazorclawFE I was referring to the BAPTISM in the spirit, not the presence of the spirit or being born again. The baptism in the holy spirit is the basis of the pentecost in Acts. When the disciples were gathered in the upper room, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other tongues. Through, this they received power. You are born again when you accept Jesus and repent of your sins. That's what gets you into heaven so to speak--not speaking in tongues.
@songbirdsigley1027 - Without the presence of the Holy Spirit, we have no intimate connection with the Spirit of Life. The Holy Spirit abides within us, a friend, arbiter and Comfort. The Holy Spirit gives us ability to learn the Gospel message and internalize it. The Holy Spirit is the glue that holds the Church together. It is the Mind of Christ, the power and presence of God. This we share, to become "one mind" in Christ. The presence of the Spirit is evidence of our relationship with God.
@ETHIOLOGIST1 I agree. The BAPTISM in the Holy Spirit was what I was talking about. Like that written about in Acts 2 (...the began speaking in other tongues as the spirit gave utterance...). I know the spirit is with us. Jesus said he would send the Comforter. The baptism in the spirit is what allows us to pray and give messages in other tongues. It is also what gives us power here on Earth (Acts 1).
@songbirdsigley1027 Thanks. Every believer in Christ Jesus is baptized by The Holy Spirit today. Baptism per se is only a visible indication that you have chosen to live the new life in Christ Jesus. Baptism as many believe (not you) does not mean salvation. Salvation is a miracle of a moment. Discipleship is a life long work in progress :) Salvation again is a free gift of The Lord, but discipleship costs much ! In the last days even the very lives of the believers :)

@songbirdsigley1027 This Scripture doesn't only say "tongues" it also mentions knowledge. Knowledge has not ceased. Therefore, why pick and choose what you "want" the Scripture to say to justify your theology? When Scripture is read as it was intended, and not piece meal, or with man's "philosophy and vain deceit"(Col2:8) It becomes very clear what God intended. Read Acts, and when you see an OT prophet mentioned, read that too. Search the Scripture for Truth, you'll find it.
@AJBluesman A few verses after this, he talks about seeing "face to face" and "knowing fully". We will only "know fully" the things of God when we reach Heaven, so when he says that tongues, knowledge, and prophecies shall cease, it seems to me like he is talking about the end of time, not some random moment in our human existence...
@songbirdsigley1027 what it means it will certainly cease to exist someday into the future from when the author recorded them...some 2000 yrs ago. Today we all have our Bibles in our own languages :) If you research what was the purpose of speaking in tongues back in the apostolic days you will know exactly why we don't need it in present times when knowledge has certainly increased. Apostles claimed the outpouring of His Spirit was what they experienced, yet you say it's over. So are you saying no more Holy Ghost?

Uh yeah you can lose your salvation. If not then why did Jesus say "Matt 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell." This is only one example, the Bible is VERY CLEAR continuous willfull sin can and will take you to hell.

I understand all of your scriptures Sanderson but all it tells us is that Jesus saves. We know that. I know that. But there are scriptures that mention losing your salvation.
@JMC9884 -The loss of salvation occurs when one blasphemes the Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit is maligned, the mind of Christ is maligned and the love and power of God is maligned. Think of a Kingdom and its King. Would a king want anyone to enter his Kingdom, armed with a malicious intent against His Highest authority? Would He allow dissenters in, that would work to destroy His Kingdom?

@1963Austria The Bible does talk about keeping things in order during a service...but it also mentions giving messages in tongues. I Corinthians 12 tells us that the spirit gives people different gifts, including speaking in other tongues and interpreting those messages. So if you believe the Bible, why would you question the gifts of the Holy Spirit? Maybe you should pray for the gift of discernment (I Corinthians 12) so that you know if a message given in tongues is actually of God...
I can't understand why they think speaking in tongues is so important...giving a message...whay would god have someone speak a lot of gubbly gock and have someone interpret it rahter thatn have that person speak in english or what ever language they use. The book of Revelations 22: 18-19, tells us not to add to, or take away from, the "words" of this prophecy. This preacher(?)/speaker obviously hasn’t stumbled across the Biblical verses that describe blaspheming the Holy Spirit is an unforgivable sin. For those of you who do like to study the word of God for yourself. Studying the different categories of works is a really interesting study. In scripture there is a minimum of at least four different categories. And there are probably some works that won't fall in those four categories. 1. The works that were forbidden on the Sabbath. 2. Works of the law of righteousness. 3. Works of the flesh. 4. Works of faith. A great study.
If no Pentecostals are saved, then the new testament church in the Bible would all be lost. You would have to believe that those that obeyed Acts 2:38 in the early church were all lost. I went to a pentecostal church with a friend of mine. I discerned alot of homosexuality and a judgmental spirit on those that were younger and didnt speak in tounges. It seemed like a contest on whom was the loudest. I now attend a seeker sensitive style christian church with contemporary rock style music and i love it. Pentecostals are a cult that need to repent.

The gift of tongues served their God-ordained purpose and ceased to exist in the days of the Apostles. We have the written word in our hands, God The Holy spirit indwells every born again believer. I just know that when I was baptized in the holy spirit, it was very different from when I accepted Jesus into my heart and was forgiven of my sins. @songbirdsigley1027 I believe tongues has a purpose as well, it is another way of prayer betwwen the believer and God. It can be done in public under the guidelines that Paul sets forth in 1Cor 14. It must be done with an interpreter so as to edify the congregation or public in a meeting. I believe it should have a valid and important message from God if it is done in punlic. Never to be just for show.That's the reason why people who read the Bible believe that Pentecostals FAKE TONGUES.

What a shame that all the people listening to this guy actually believe what he is saying...I grew up in the Pentecostal church. I am filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. And I am saved. I also know that salvation has nothing to do with works. @RazorclawFE I was referring to the BAPTISM in the spirit, not the presence of the spirit or being born again. The baptism in the holy spirit is the basis of the pentecost in Acts. When the disciples were gathered in the upper room, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other tongues. Through, this they received power. You are born again when you accept Jesus and repent of your sins. That's what gets you into heaven so to speak--not speaking in tongues.

@ETHIOLOGIST1 I agree. The BAPTISM in the Holy Spirit was what I was talking about. Like that written about in Acts 2 (...the began speaking in other tongues as the spirit gave utterance...). I know the spirit is with us. Jesus said he would send the Comforter. The baptism in the spirit is what allows us to pray and give messages in other tongues. It is also what gives us power here on Earth (Acts 1).

Baptism as many believe (not you) does not mean salvation. Salvation is a miracle of a moment. Discipleship is a life long work in progress :) Salvation again is a free gift of The Lord, but discipleship costs much ! In the last days even the very lives of the believers :)

@songbirdsigley1027 This Scripture doesn't only say "tongues" it also mentions knowledge. Knowledge has not ceased. Therefore, why pick and choose what you "want" the Scripture to say to justify your theology? When Scripture is read as it was intended, and not piece meal, or with man's "philosophy and vain deceit"(Col2:8) It becomes very clear what God intended. Read Acts, and when you see an OT prophet mentioned, read that too. Search the Scripture for Truth, you'll find it.

Those churches are not authentic. There is a sincere move of God on all his children who believe. you have to have faith people. I have heard of many baptist who did believe in tongues or other gifts of the spirit but God moved one day and it totally changed their theology. I encourage you guys test this.

I Corinthians 12 tells us that the spirit gives people different gifts, including speaking in other tongues and interpreting those messages. So if you believe the Bible, why would you question the gifts of the Holy Spirit? Maybe you should pray for the gift of discernment (I Corinthians 12) so that you know if a message given in tongues is actually of God...

If water baptism in Jesus Name was the only baptisimal formula used in the bible, then I want that same Name applied to my life as well. @AucturianHybrid Stop acting like a foolish individual, this is a direct reference to the saints through the ages, as well as the angels. The saints are Christians. The Word makes it quite clear, not all go to heaven, ONLY THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN JESUS, AND HAVE REPENTED OF THEIR SINS!

@AucturianHybrid The only ones who are save are those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Most of the world is not saved. Only truly born again Christians, despite what their denomination affilation they have, are saved!

The book of Revelations 22: 18-19, tells us not to add to, or take away from, the "words" of this prophecy. If We add anything, the plagues of this book will be added unto us, and if we remove any words from this book, “God” will take away our part out of the book of life.etc. Beautiful words of encouragement from GOD himself, don’t you think? Romans 2: 1-29, a "Form" of knowledge. "There shall be many in that day of his retrun" God help us all come to the True Knowledge of the word.

It's really simple, John 3:16, I know you've read it all before, but consider the meaning of 1 word, and it changes the whole meaning. " For God so loved the world, that He gave His only, Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, ( Should ), not parish, but have everlasting life." If I change this 1 word to Shall, I can live like I want to and still get to heaven. Interesting? That’s why we can not change what the Hebrew translation says. God said what he meant and meant what he said. Amen

You're a false preacher, and not of the Lord Jesus Christ! I was saved in a Southern Baptist Church, when our church went under (unfortunately it was because of a unhealthy church growth, we were a Jewish church plant, I came out of Orthodoxy), I started attending a PAOC church, whose foundation is Christ the Solid the solid rock, and what God's Word says, we live by it. Thus you cannot judge all pentecostal's by some crazies. my pastor and I were at breakfast, we agreed we're Bapticostals.

Who are you to judge on the merit of Salvation, I know many Pentecostal's who are saved, have a belief in Hell, and know what the Word of God teaches! I attend a PAOC congregation, and you better believe our Church preaches salvation through Christ alone, and it you do not accept this than yes, YOU WILL GO TO HELL! However, unlike you we speak the truth in love as per what God's word teaches, we acknowledge what His word teaches in regards to sin and the solution for it. Maybe you're not saved!

This preacher(?)/speaker obviously hasn’t stumbled across the Biblical verses that describe blaspheming the Holy Spirit is an unforgivable sin. He needs to study the word of God more, especially Timothy’s letters where it says “The Lord knoweth them who are his. And, Let everyone that nameth the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.” This man is still suckling on the ‘milk of the word’ and is unskilled in the oracles of God!

I mean seriously, you don't judge anyone by what denomination they or, nor what there doctrine is, if they have called upon Jesus then they are saved, if they believe that Jesus, died for them and shed his blood for them then they are saved. The Bible says we are saved by grace not by denomination. Just goes to show you how shallow minded some of our preacher's are in the pulpit these days. It's because they only have religion and man made doctrine, and no relationship with Jesus!!!!!

This man is a dang fool! The only reason he's saying anything like this is because he's never experienced the infilling of the Holy ghost and has no idea what salvation is about if he believes that just because we pentecostals speak in tongues means that we aren't saved. First of all who is he to judge anyone else's salvation. Honestly speaking in tongues has nothing to do with being saved. The Bible says whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Does this mean that verse is a lie?

Wow...talk about a broad, uneducated stereotype just to try and make a point. I am Pentecostal. I am not arrogant, loud, or imposing. I don't roll around in the aisle and I certainly don't handle snakes( that is a gross misunderstanding of Scripture by those who do). We only preach the Bible, including hell and the wrath of God, and we operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is done decently and in order as outlined in Scripture. I will not debate OSAS here, God bless everyone.

For those of you who do like to study the word of God for yourself. Studying the different categories of works is a really interesting study. In scripture there is a minimum of at least four different categories. And there are probably some works that won't fall in those four categories. 1. The works that were forbidden on the Sabbath. 2. Works of the law of righteousness. 3. Works of the flesh. 4. Works of faith. A great study.

If no Pentecostals are saved, then the new testament church in the Bible would all be lost. You would have to believe that those that obeyed Acts 2:38 in the early church were all lost. People would probably accuse those in the early church of being members of a cult. People, please read your bible for yourselves. Study it. Fall in love with it.
