I was there that night. The concert started over 30 minutes late which was UNFORGIVABLE in my opinion (and there was a snowstorm too). Still, it was a terrific performance. I remember it was the night that KING KONG was premiering in NYC a few blocks away so I saw lots of stars on my way over.
The concert started 20 minutes late and it was BECAUSE there was a snowstorm. At the start time of the show, we had less than half of the ticket holders sitting down, so keep your pants on. The concert was named in the top 5 theatre events of the year by playbill and theatermania - and no one seemed too bothered by the late start time.

The following year the concert also started late. What was the excuse that year? And it wasn't just 5 or 10 minutes late, we are talking nearly HALF AN HOUR. I am sorry that people were late because of the storm, but TOUGH! I was coming from NEW HAMPSHIRE nearly 6 hours away and I got their on time. Folks who are late miss the part of the concert. Oh, well. BE ON TIME! (The house looked pretty full to me at the time the concert was supposed to start.)

For some reason, I love when Laura closes her book, signaling the end of the show.
