I think a t-56 would be better because you got a stronger transmission and it should cost less than a Promotion 3650. You can always upgrade the t-56 and the motor will blow before the transmission
its easier for me to do it like that.. good pass though non the less. yea that 3650 = trash! i hate those things. are u planning on upgrading it or getting a different tranny?
@foxcoupejulio I havent decided yet, Im torn between a Promotion built 3650 or getting a used T56, the thing about a used T56 is that you never know what you're getting unless its a factory rebuild from a shop, and you still have to swap to a 26 spline input. I've considered a built 4r70w but being that this car is daily driven about 80 miles a day(highway) Im not sure if thats the best route. What do you think?
some quicker shifting would help too. not hating, just stating a fact. nice run though that car should be capable of a way quicker pass than that. when ur staging try reving to the rpm u want and the slightly ease off the clutch till u get to both beams. like that u'll be ready at the rpm by the time the third yellow comes around.
@foxcoupejulio Very true. I gotta get around to changing the stock clutch and stock 10 spline input, being so far from home it'll suck breaking and having to tow it all the way back here. Thanks, I've never tried that but I'll try it next time.
@alex369 Yea, I need to get up to the line before the other guy, Im not sure if you noticed but in all the four runs the other car staged first so the second I would stage the lights started blinking, not giving me enough time to bring up and hold the rpms, next time we'll definately be in the 11s.
For sure 11s at a good 5k rpm launch
