on one of my 007 vhs it just cuts and end randomly ill post a vid for you if you want so you can explain to me whats wrong with it, they vhs is in excellent condition
Yes, it does a bit. I'm told the remastered edition had most of it's sound effects reworked differently for DVD so that may explain the differences. The VHS must be the cinema print.
Well, it seems like the EARLIER version is clearer, and then the later 2000 DVD is the one that's mumbled. Why? Maybe someone used a different master as the source recording, one that hadn't had the edit/redub done. Either way, what's the deal with paying attention to that? That's a bit trivial, yes?
Oh, yes, it's VERY trivial! but people know these films so well, I want to show them things they've never noticed before, and get them to wonder why they occur. There's plenty more to come, too....
The redubbing was presumably because the line was mumbled and indistinct. If you hadn't told us it was "Fish for supper again," I'm not sure I'd have understood it.
1.
"fish for supper again"
"chicken tonight?"
2.
"fish for supper again"
"ah"
"chicken tonight?"

If it's an original copy that's quite rare. If you copied it or taped it off the TV I guess it's because it was stopped too early.

I think the reason it's overdubbed because the other version is a bit unclear.

it appears that on the DVD version Roger Moore is the one who says "fish for supper again" LISTEN CAREFULLY
