To all those who think Jane Krakowski is merely covering this song on a live performance, her studio version of this song is actually the original. It was recorded for the 2002 release of Jim Brickman's "Love Songs & Lullabies" and was a hit, peaking at #4 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary Chart. Give it a listen: it's spectacular and is one of my favourite songs.
Ms. Krakowski? If you're out there... somewhere and can read this, I'd love to be able to download this song. It inspires me with its beauty and elegance. I think your voice is radiant and pure. I hope you hear this. You inspire me in so many ways, Ms. Krakowski.
I feel in love with this song the first time i heard it yrs ago....i was surprised whn the radio DJ mentioned it was Jane singing....i hadn't heard her sing since Ally McBeal. I just LOVE her.....she is an amazing talent...and sooo beautful. I LOVED her in Dance with Me!
@annoka Yes, the song apears in the film "just a walk in the part" with george eads und jane krakowski - you can hear (a part of) the song in den last 10-15 minutes.
Hah! She's quite like Jenna. I like it - she does Jenna as a stereotypically actressy brat, but her performance style is only a little less dramatic than her comedic songs on 30 Rock. Good for her - she knows what's funny, but she doesn't care if her earnest delivery is actressy (which obviously is good in this case. Broadway, y'all.)
I think both singers are very good but I like Jane just a bit better. I guess to each his own. To me Jane is a purer singer. In this song she had no back up except the piano. No filler.
I agree, Tara Maclean is better. I got this off the Jim Brickman Love Songs and Lullabies DVD. He came to my city and played at the Southern Woman's Show. Luckily, my sister worked there, and she got me an autographed to me copy of the DVD and Greatest Hits CD. <3!
je t'aime Jane . je suis un fan français j'ai 25 ans et tu es une des plus grandes artistes au monde ! tu es une artiste complète et une belle personne j'en suis sur!
the "un-30 rock" side of jane krakowski--i love it! she sings really well...as for jim brickman? his songs definitely know how to touch an emotional nerve or two...
Does anyone know if there is a "holiday" version of this song? I believe there are a few additional Christmas lyrics...I remember it from several years ago on the radio, but I can't find it anywhere.
Every time I see Jane, I feel like Ducky from Pretty In Pink: "I love this woman.. and I have to tell her I love her. And if she laughs, she laughs." :)
Wow, nice version here! This song reminds me of someone from whom years ago I had to travel half round the world to learn about actually loved & being in love even though I was too stupid to understand it.
Bre, if u'r out there, I just want to say I'm very sorry to be such a burden and ,most probably, an embarrassment to u, I could never thank u enough for what you've shown & given me and I love you. Then & still now, I love you. Before I left, I showed you this song & I MEANT every word of it.
Whatever your situation was NEVER feel like you were a burden to anyone, or an embarrssment...you opened your heart up to love, and there is always going to be avenues where it will be easy, and hard, but are'nt you glad that you loved with all of your heart? It is better than never loving at all! This person , whatever the situaton is will always remember you, because once you grace somebody with your presence, it is always a part of their soul...Hang in there, and take care...
Thank you. Those are very kind words, much like what she would've said. It's been such a long hard time that I forget the feel of that kind of virtue :) And you're right; I'm glad. I am glad. And thankful. Thank you for being kind to me.
Your welcome! Hang in there, and ALWAYS keep your heart open for love...You never know what the future may bring! That's the exciting part about love, and life...! Take care, and be Happy!!!

Its a toss up.
But considering Jane is not a full time singer, I give her a lot of credit for her singing ability.

Jane is perhaps one of the most underrated actresses out there.
She's quite humble despite all her success. She helps many charities.
