  • Thanks for the refresher of how this piece can sound - I decided to play this tomorrow at new years day service but needed to hear a few different interpretations. I play it at twice the speed, but mayby I should just slow down... You should record the fugue too, it is my favourite of all the short preludes and fugues, and so simple, too.

  • The "lovely 8" go in and out of spurious status. Currently i think they are back in but I am not really sure.

  • @bachkirche

As far as I know they arent 100% confirmed to be bach but believed to have been written by Krebs, a scholar of Bach - but that doesent change that they are 16 little evergreens that can be used for almost anything and sound well on a wide variety of instruments.

  • Nicely done. I'm learning this piece now.

  • wonderfull. How many years you are playing?? I am playing piano.

  • Do you wear any shoes?

  • Beautifully played, on a beautiful instrument. Just the right speed too. Keep up the fantastic work!

  • Many thanks!

  • That's prelude BWV 558. The real prelude BWV 557 is in G major.

  • I like your performance. Do you play the following fugue, too?

  • Many thanks! Yes, I play the fugue but didn`t record on video.

  • Thanks your comment. It is a matter of taste...

  • Too slow.
