I don't get why people make the call and say xr6t run BOV's

You can achieve this by replacing the pipe running from the intercooler to the turbo with a shorter price of intercooler piping and just popping a pod filter in there, that's how we did it on my fathers anyway.

As for the people fighting over who made what and whos better, it shouldn't matter what company it's from learn to appreciate a amazing car when you see one

@kavinda05 Stock gauges that come with the car bloke. 1's a boost gauge that reads 30 vac and 30 psi. Not to sure about the other one. Probs oil pressure or something.

sorry man your wrong. How is a car made in 1986 going to use a gtr engine from 1994. The vl used the RB30 from the R31 skyline. And they never had a 'dose pipe' That was something mod blokes made up to enhance the flutter noise.

Sht sorry man i forgot the most important part you need to remove the bov all togther, e.g. take it off.

You then need to block off the holes in the cross over pipe, most people use rubber chair leg caps, you know those black things that are on the legs of your chairs when you where at school.

you cn buy them from bunning for like $10, then you need to block off the little skinny vaccum hose that comes off the top of the bov i used a 6mm screw, and screwed into the house.

Well you really need boost like 12 psi and up, but you can get flutter out of the stock setup, ideally you need the battry moved so you can fit a nice 3 inch 90 deg sweeping bend for the dose.

But you can also get away with squeezing one inbetween the stock cross over pipes.

all you need to do is have any sort 90 or 45 deg bend coming off the turbo with a pod filter, thats the basics man.

my car is far from standed mate so it dose's very easy

9 years with compressor surge...? Hard to believe unless you don't use it very often.

My turbo bearings let go a month after I blocked the BOV running 7 PSI.

Garrett reckons compressor surge indeed is bad on the turbo. google 'compressor surge garrett' and read article 'turbo tech101' on the turbobygarrett website, about half way down the page. Who to believe, the elite in turbo engineering or knuckle heads on youtube comments? :)

It will add to boost lag.. But the pressure is so mild it wont wear the bearings.. That is a myth. BOV's limit the lag and release pressure but unless you running 2.5-3 bar+ they're not really needed. It won't shorten the life of you turbo.

Na man the lower go's from your throttle body to your cooler, the top half go's from the air box through the cross over then into the turbo.

If you want quick easy dose/flutter sound, just take out your air box and chuck a pod onto the plastic flex pipe then take off your bov and block your holes.

Um not 100% sure what you mean, but if your talking about the air intake side of the crossover e.g. the top half.IF your running a dose pipe off the turbo just leave it open, you can even leave your air boc in if you wish and just tack the turbo side off.

The crossover pipe is 2 sepret sections so leaving the top open wont effect the the lower half.
