Still hear this, once a week.. and thinking of all these young people....hope Morton will bring this song in Frankfurt/M on May 3rd on the way he did't on 21.08.
I remember years ago when A-HA brought their incredible sound and videos for all of us to imprint in our lives to remember and date stamp for all of us to reflect upon years later when perhaps we have elapsed our bettter times. I hope that the incredible voices and sounds of A-HA resonate forever. An incredible tribute to those whom have lost so much more than I can ever imagine losing all at once. Never stop believing you have friends who care!

OMG - Goosebumps! I've loved this song ever since the album came out and have loved it ever since. This just made it better...I'm not a singer but I can imagine how hard it is to sing acoustic and Morten's voice is still amazing..enuf said! Forever and always ~
It was only fitting that a-ha would do this. After all it was their people who sadly were taken. Norway was grieving for its lost souls, and more importantly, those families who are left with unbearable loss for their loved ones. It really does put life in perspective, when you see how this tragedy unfolded as it did. It was stomach churning even just watching the news footage.Hopefully the ceremony somehow eased some of the pain for the families associated with this horrible anguish. I hope so.
Very nice, but still not as good as the original,a-ha was an electro-pop pioneer band in the 80s,their strength was in their synths! I understand the orchestra looks better on mainstream tv, but unfortunately it doesn't sound as good as the original mix...still a beautiful song anyway!
You must remember, this performance was to honor the people who lost their lives (not to perform the song in the original way). They came together just for this peformance. I absolutely love this version with the live orchestra....sooo much emotions in their performance..it brings tears to my eyes thinking about the y)oung ones loosing their lives after that (and also experiencing all the love we shared together as a nation (and in Oslo my birth city which I still live in).
I love this!!!!! one of the best performances of this song...and he has his hair like it was in the 80's!!! Chris...your my new best friend for putting this up!!! amazing
An amazing performance of such a beautiful song. A song which is so very sad yet at the same time so very hopeful. A wonderful tribute in honor of the victims of the massacre. It brought tears to my eyes.
Amazing moment, yes, to see A-ha together, again...but in the meantime, it is so sad when I think of the lost of so many young people...God bless them !!! Morten Harket has such a wonderful voice...and he is EVER more more beautiful at 52 than 25...."How can I sleep with your voice in my head ?" Forever yours Morten Harket !!
@sonia691000 Yes, Morten is the best singer of the world with the most amazing voice and I like him so much and I miss him every day!!! This is so a wonderful song and i had tears too as I saw it at this moment! I'm waiting impatently for his new solo-album! Morten forever!!
@mortenwonder59 You are so right and I feel the same !!! We traveled in New York in May 2010, to see A-ha in their farewell tour. The guys were amazing and Morten had (as always) his perfect voice. We've been lucky to have their autographs after the show. The guys have been very generous. Morten made me almost die when he smiled to me....unforgettable.... "How sweet it was".
@sonia691000 Yes, I was so happy too, then I saw a-ha in July 2010 on their farewell tour in Germany and this concert was a surprise for me! I didn't know, that we're going to this concert. 8 years ago, since I' become motherless I didn't hear a-ha so often..Why? I don't know..no time for me and my music..Then I saw Morten and I was the little girl with 11 years again who saw the first time Morten and then I cried!! This concert was so fantastic and unforgettable! Now I hear a-ha every day!!
Wonderful and fitting song for memorial! Morten gives voice to all our hearts in front of the tragedy. Very touching! We miss you guys! Roberto, Italy

We all love Norway!!! From the deeps of my heart I want to send all my love to You Norwegian people!!!Thanks a lot for the love and the strong union You always show, my Dearest Norway!!!Lots of thanks to A-HA of being there with all their love and suffering!!!We suffer with You the loss of 77 young lives!!!
I knew they would be together again. Regardless, it was a beautiful performance from everyone. The song is so fitting for the occasion, even though "Crying in the Rain" would had been good also.
I also thought he was very young looking when I saw him on TV. Who knows, maybe he had a face lift? And so what? It is his life, and he sure got the money for it, so go ahead and enjoy your life, Morten!
@therealrockondon yes they have working separately during the nineties, morten launched 2 solo albums, paul have an indie band named savoy, and magne made music for norwegian movies and worked as a painter sculptor
@cristinawilligs a-ha interviewed me on the val hall dvd extras im the first guy interviewed ive seen a-ha 18times yeah i know savoy my friends recorded for them in new york.i just dont see why they retired?oh well lol
dont worry, they will comeback, they are musicians, this is not a bussiness, is a life style, when they get bored of hanging around with their project they will come back, by the way morten did a facelift during his vacations ,they will make another reccord, i truly dont believe they quit.
mmmm...i dont think so to be honest hun, ive got there last show on dvd , I just think its loads of make up and how the lighting is. nobodys as mentioned it on the video forum yet, just comments saying he looks great , which he do's.
ANYONE THINK'S MORTENS HAD A FACE LIFT OR SOME TYPE OF SURGERY ????
@cristinawilligs I'm shocked. Then come a-ha again to honor the victims and make a unforgettable occurs and you pull her over and ask if he Morten had a face lift? I expect more respectful to the victims and the relatives compared with! They've lost people they love and you're talking if Morten had a face lift? It isn't okay in this moment!Shame on you! I like Morten exactly like he ist and the important think is that Morten sings along and we hear a lot of nice songs from him in the future!
Thanks for posting this. It makes me wish they would come back for a full concert with full orchestration. So much of their music would lend itself well to a full orchestra.
I just have to say that who in their right mind would give a damn if Morten Harket has lost hair or how good or bad he looks at the time like this! Only thing I can say that they had the good sense of respecting the cervise with wearing a tie. So many other men that performed didn't!!
Excellent performance. I think Morten's occasionally unsure notes make the song even more intimate. The drummer does a great job and seems to enjoy it. And the orchestra at the end, man, I can damn near keep from crying. So very good.
Thank you so much for this video. I feel with you Norway, and Morten's voice helping them to cope with pain. I like this song so much and must cry so often when I hear it. Thank you a-ha for this unforgettable song and this unique entrance. a-ha forever!
The cold has a voice it talks to me Still-born by choice and it airs no need to hold. Old man feels the cold oh baby don't 'cause I've been told: Stay on these roads we shall meet I know Stay on, my love we shall meet I know I know. Where joy should reign these skies restrain Shadow your love - the voice trails off again The voice trails off again. Old man feels the cold oh baby don't 'cause I've been told: Stay on these roads we shall meet I know Stay on, my love you feel so weak be strong....
God bless Morten, Magne, and Paul for trying to bring some comfort to all those in their hometown/country and from all around the world who are so incredibly saddened by what has happened.
Thank you so much Chris for sharing this with us! I didn't think I would be able to watch the memorial in the states. Then I remembered "Chris"! He will have it! And you did -Thank you again. God bless the victims and all their families .
Thanks Chris for posting this wonderful video!!! Despite of sadness A-ha was perfect!! Beautiful cerimony and my thoughts and prayers will be with Norwegian´s families who lost their beloveds.... I deeply hope that God gives strength and serenity to them!
Thank you Chris for sharing the video, as always it is great !!! What a pleasure to see them together !!! Morten´s voice is perfect and he looks like in his early days... Lovely version of the song...
Really I don' t understand who disliked this clip!!! It reminds some innocent blood bleeded by a evil hand!!! 77 victims!!! The band that sing this song, looks very, very sad and shattered!!!!Norway' s people is very democratic, kind, friendly, lovely and what happened to them is very unfair!!!! Norway' s people, Your pain is also my pain!!! Norway, I suffer with You, I will always love You!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this Chris. What a fitting song and beautiful performance for such a sad time. Wonderful to see a-ha together again but wish it was under happier circumstances. My thoughts are with the bereaved families.
@Iloveahaforever It is very fair what you have written here!!! It shows your love for a nation wounded in her heart!!!I agree with you!!! I love Norway, Norwegian people and a-ha too!!!Love from me.
WOW...Chris, thanks for this AMAZING upload. We all never thought we'd see the day when A-ha would perform live on stage again, Such a sad and tragic cause has had to bring the greatest band of all time back to the world for just a few short minutes, Cant believe how young morten looks here with his 80's quif back to and what an amazing haunting performance with the orchestra , May piece be with Norway and the world in these tragic time.Chris you are the A-ha promoter of youtube land. 5*****
It was released in 1988, but the song have been a lovesong, a "classic hit from the 80s" , a fans' message to the members of a-ha during their last tour and now this song hopefully supports friends and families of victims. Time goes by but the song will be here to be heard for different reasons.
@cosetilo5 You have the things write like i would say too,but my english is to bad -i'm sorry for this.
But i like to say something, because i was so happy so see A-ha my heroes TOGETHER on stage - i wish it was not for this sad reason - and i HOOPE SO MUCH IT WAS NOT FOR THE LAST TIME!
(And Morten look so great and young with the hair like in the years 1987/88!)
We don't have to apologize for our english! Anyway, i don't think a-ha want to be together again. We love a-ha's music , but they want to move on and do different things. I do hope for further a-ha releases of previous material! They could release 25 album as a dvd/blue ray collection of their video clips or a b-side collection! And yes, i agree with you, Morten looked so much younger!!
This is a very sad moment!!!77 victims, 77 lives blown away, like candles in the wind! Killed by the hands of one man, one pitiless, cruel killer! I' m still crying at this thought!!!Thanks a lot a-ha, this is always a memory to save, because love must win over all!!!The whole world needs to live in peace, love and harmony like Norway teachs!!!
Thank you very much!!!!!!! Onde o improvável aconteceu, eles com certeza estariam presentes para a celebração. Somente eles para arrancar lágrimas da platéia. Eu os amo para sempre, por tudo o que representam e por estarem lá nesse dia.
The beautiful memorial of them with this song. She shivered my soul. I was very happy to see them together again, I was really happy. Not tears of happiness or sadness can explain not only this time as I had, but like all fans of this wonderful band! We want a fully lit path to Norway and for our dear Norwegian Morten, Magne and Paul. Thank you a-ha. Thank you so much! The band and Norway will be in our hearts forever!
Thank you very much, Chris. My heart is weak, have goose bumps everywhere and tears in my eyes. So beautiful... and so sad... like the whole ceremony.
Yes Norway, stay on these roads. Don't let somebody distrurb this country.
You are on a very good way. I was there last week. Norwegian are stong...thats good so.....

@cristinawilligs a-ha interviewed me on the val hall dvd extras im the first guy interviewed ive seen a-ha 18times yeah i know savoy my friends recorded for them in new york.i just dont see why they retired?oh well lol
therealrockondon 6 months ago
dont worry, they will comeback, they are musicians, this is not a bussiness, is a life style, when they get bored of hanging around with their project they will come back, by the way morten did a facelift during his vacations ,they will make another reccord, i truly dont believe they quit.

@cristinawilligs
A FACE LIFT ?? I THINK ITS JUST LOTS OF FACE MAKEUP.
I HOPE THEY REFORM 1 DAY,
theBESTelvis 6 months ago
@theBESTelvis but look at him, his neck skin was hanging on december, now he looks like back in the 90s, make up cant hide skin hanging
cristinawilligs 6 months ago
@cristinawilligs
mmmm...i dont think so to be honest hun, ive got there last show on dvd , I just think its loads of make up and how the lighting is. nobodys as mentioned it on the video forum yet, just comments saying he looks great , which he do's.
ANYONE THINK'S MORTENS HAD A FACE LIFT OR SOME TYPE OF SURGERY ????
theBESTelvis 6 months ago

Thank you for uploading!
I just have to say that who in their right mind would give a damn if Morten Harket has lost hair or how good or bad he looks at the time like this! Only thing I can say that they had the good sense of respecting the cervise with wearing a tie. So many other men that performed didn't!!
Sinitiainen79 6 months ago
ok ok . i take back everything I said. but still he is losing he´s hair at the back but defiantly not his incredible voice

Excellent performance. I think Morten's occasionally unsure notes make the song even more intimate. The drummer does a great job and seems to enjoy it. And the orchestra at the end, man, I can damn near keep from crying. So very good.

theBESTelvis 6 months ago 3
It was released in 1988, but the song have been a lovesong, a "classic hit from the 80s" , a fans' message to the members of a-ha during their last tour and now this song hopefully supports friends and families of victims. Time goes by but the song will be here to be heard for different reasons.
cosetilo5 6 months ago 3
@cosetilo5 You have the things write like i would say too,but my english is to bad -i'm sorry for this.
But i like to say something, because i was so happy so see A-ha my heroes TOGETHER on stage - i wish it was not for this sad reason - and i HOOPE SO MUCH IT WAS NOT FOR THE LAST TIME!
(And Morten look so great and young with the hair like in the years 1987/88!)
loosingyou 6 months ago
@loosingyou
