for those of you who comment about whos fault it is or why it happened or how it could have been a navigation mistake i suggest you learn how to navigate a cruise ship first and than talk otherwise keep it for yourself.

noone knows what could or could not have been done that day, some of you say it is impossible for it to have been a navigation mistake since they came here all the time...what does that have to do with it. you use the same road to go home everyday dont you???!!!

for those who ask why in some photos its day and why in some its nighttime that is because they ship starting sinking whilst it was still light but here at that time of year sunset is around 06:00pm so it is nighttime after that time even if technically by time it is still considered day.

for those who say stupid comments like "fake" i just have to ask how dumb can you be..and insencitive?

when the ship started sinking i could see a slight tilt so i paid no attention and went on with serving.

this is to comment some of the below comment i have seen.

i was noton the sea diamond, i do however work in Santorini. it just happens that on the 5th of april in 2007 i was working in a cafeteria right on the cliffs, our view being the sea, volcano right in front so we had in front of us all of the cruise ships everyday right below

i saw every moment of the sa diamond sinking and the havock that was caused by everybody on the island from yacht owners to even fishermen trying to help.

well the people who were on there were lucky (the ones who didn't disappear that is) I mean, that sucks for the ship your on to sink but hey, at least land is nearby and other ships came to help. imagine being in the middle of the ocean with no help in sight....

I was on the SEA DIAMOND. I couldnt believe it when she hit land. I was sitting in the dining room when suddenly the ship shook and a large piece of land crashed throgh the window next to me. The ship had run aground! We all got given life jackets and were asked to evacuate immeadiatley, but i had money and other valubles I couldnt afford to loose so i went down to my room and opend the door and the room was tilted and filling with water. It came up to my waist. I was so scared
