I worked in Africa and sort of took the lyrics to be a lot like what I found there.

For an African family to have a bunch of Western school and university kids to come in a built a house for them they find to be insulting - they could build it better.

Yeah i played alot because i thought i was cool, and at that time i played the real guitar. The whole guitar playing video game concept drew my attention. It was a very unique idea that gives the person more action that sitting down pressing keys :D. And to finish..why does everyone bash guitar hero? Ok its a video game but its better than sitting on your ass playing (let me give some examples) World of Warcraft, Everquest, Runescape, and many many others. Your learning hand eye coordination (Believe it or not) and your listening to some great songs, plus unlike those other games. It can be played while "socializing" for some of you that may be a hard concept to understand, but yes...it can be played with others :O!!!
