Thanks to you I've acknowledged that I have BED...that was a while ago. Listening to you I've been able to look at food as something that I need to live not sometthing I need to live for. I'm not saying that that there's not those moments that I feel like binging, but now those are rare and I can control myself more. Thank you so much. Just wanted to make you know that you changed someone's life.
Congratulations, keep it up and don't be too hard on yourself. It's ok to allow yourself those cravings and exercise like walking to get a burrito etc. If you don't you will surely binge. I make it myself too and you can cut calories and use fresh, healthy alternatives. You have a nice voice!
118 is very light, so i guess you're bingeing hasnt shown much. But thats true what you said about the scale--its good to do it every once and a while to make sure you stay on track but anymore than that just makes you depressed. Stay in OA, though, it helps. And keep busy, that helps with bingeing too. Also, you ARE pretty. And its not because youre losing weight.
Great news that you're binge-free but you're right to be careful about counting calories. That can only make you more fixated on food in the long term and once you learn the calorie values of things it's SO hard to get the numbers out of your head.
Also be careful with scales, I found it all too easy for scales to re-enter my life once I got weighed by my therapist and decided to 'check' on my scales at home (again and again).
i'm so happy to hear you are feeling good and in control (don't get too in control though with those calorie counts, it can lead to binging!)
i almost fell into a binge yesterday. i even got into the car to go to a fast food restaurant but i thought about how bad i would feel after it, the stomach pain, the depression and i turned around and went home! i felt so in control for once!
Wow... sounds like you were PRETTY DARN CLOSE to binging.... amazing you cut it off short. I'm so proud of you!!! Really, with practice it DOES get easier over time!

its just my opinion, but all she is doing against the binging is making the binging worse.
