@Lightitupp1 Jesus' whole point was that through him you could attain eternal life, forgiveness, right standing with God, and a nature change escaping hell. He confirmed God's holiness, justice and wrath from the Old Testament but His whole reason for being on earth was to be a mediator between sinful man and God offering escape from our just condemnation. The earliest manuscripts state this. The records of the earliest 1st century Christians outside the Bible state this - there's no tampering

@Lightitupp1 You can disagree but to say this wasn't the earliest message is refuted by the manuscript evidence and the records of the earliest Christians we have such as Ignatius, Polycarp, Papias, Clement, and Irenaeus were 1st and 2nd century Christians and most of them students of the original apostles. All of their writings testify that this was Christ's message as well.

The teachings of Christianity have been changed , Jesus never wanted to have his teaching turned into a religion because he knew how it can be manipulated. Do you know the phrase , "History is written by the victors". Just think about the beautifull messages Jesus has about love , forgiveness , empathy , compassion and then think about some of the rules(commandments) and if you break them you go to hell. It contradicts itself , God/Jesus would forgive not condem.

@Lightitupp1 Your position is self refuting because if Jesus' teachings changed you have no way of knowing what they originally were and are thus in no position to argue what his real message was, after all, it was changed, right? Anyway... the facts are clear. The serious student of history knows that since we have the most comprehensive manuscript tradition of any ancient book it would be impossible to corrupt it by changing later manuscripts since earlier ones would show the supposed change.

I see what you are saying , of course I can't know 100% sure. But alternative scholars are saying that Jesus didn't want his teaching to be a religion. All i'm trying to do here is not argue , i'm just trying to 'show' people that a religion that is partly fear based is certaintly not the way to go. And my personal opinion is that Jesus didn't want this , he forgives people who torture him but then his father will make someone suffer for eternity for petty things.

@Lightitupp1 Jesus taught his followers to forgive and love, true. But God is just and holy and we don't see the heinousness of sin as God does because he is absolutely pure and undefiled unlike us. Because God is just and holy he punishes sin. But Jesus, like he told his followers to forgive and love, in that similar fashion offers humans forgiveness and love and the chance to escape the just judgement people deserve for spitting in God's face violating his holy laws which God instituted.

So Jesus tells you not to trust mediums, psychics etc because the voices can not be trusted. In that, he teaches us that whoever spoke to the prophets could not be trusted and was not God.
