planes dont fall like bricks out of the sky, they are aerodynamic so it would glide down (still at a decent speed) then crash. but yeah the bouncing makes no sense :)

Hmm.. what you said seemed wrong to me, but I did some research and it seems that you're right. I knew about gliding or course, but it seemed that the mass of commercial planes would be to much when engine power is lost, and would cause the plane to stall and go nose downwards. But I didn't consider the speed that the planes fly at, and how much lift that would generate.
